Please enjoy The Great Elephant Migration outdoor art exhibition, Newport, Rhode Island, summer 2024 video by Jéanpaul Ferro. The art exhibition was featured on the rear lawns of the opulent gilded age mansions of Newport, Rhode Island at Rough Point, The Breakers, and Salve Regina University’s McAuley Hall. The sculptures were created by The Coexistence Collective, a community of 200 indigenous artisans in the Nilgiri Hills of South India. The life-size sculptures are made from lantana camara, an invasive weed that encroaches on wildlife habitat and is reused for the sculptures, which will be touring the world over the coming months and years. The 100 life-size Great Elephant Migration sculptures spent the summer of 2024 from July through early September in Rhode Island along the Atlantic Ocean along Newport's famous 3 1/2 mile Cliff Walk.
