Congrats on getting her out Sam!! I remember the who/where/when/how you got her! 8) They say that 'sniper' will "learn" as it runs, and it will run better the longer it runs. JMHO, I think I would consider doing the tubular front A-arms/torsion bars, and rear 4 link w/coil overs/pan-hard bar before paint. Just so the paint survives better? 8) It will drive a whole lot better!! I couldn't help looking at that white truck in the shop, with new shiny radiator/cooler too!! Good stuff! Thanks Sam!! Some Accel header plugs would work better and they are shorter to clear the headers... Plus they run hotter 🤷🏽‍♂️

Need to put a timing light on that 440. Timing sounds way off with how lazy that rev is. Also dont do the hemi. May be "nicer" to have a modern engine but that 440 can make far more reliable power. The 5.7s are terrible with the lifter issues.

Honestly Sam i would keep that 440. If you want to make big power it would be cheaper todo with that RB engine than having to swap in some gen 3 hemi. All i do is build the old LA 340/360 small blocks and big blocks in the bay area to dominate on either the street or track. If you ever need anything for that big block i would help out. I know It’s your car , your build and this is just my opinion honestly.

My thought was to make the bed longer by just chopping the front 8 in where it meets the cab and the back 8 in where the tailgate is and extend it out in both directions to keep the wheel wells centered over the axel
