I wonder who was behind the camera.....

very nice
Hermoso ✨ Me transportó al estilo arcaico situado en el Jorobado de Notre Dame 👏 Simplemente bellísimo
Really sounds good 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is this a negro spiritual
Why’s this piece bringing sleepy hollow to my mind
Love this piece
Just this movement of a string quartet makes Samuel Barber, in my opinion, one of the greatest composers in the saddest century of all. It’s mourning music, even greater than Chopin’s funeral march.
Maybe that's all mankind has brought to this poor old planet? Time we left .
Overwhelmingly sad and beautiful at one and the same time !
The movie Platoon was released the year I was born, so I only watched it many years later. I knew Adagio For Strings because my mom always listened to it. After watching Platoon I could never listen to Adagio again without feeling a lump in my throat and a deep sadness.
What a frickin bass song
Halleluijaah !!!!!
Not heard this one by Gjeilo before. No less stunning than the others. Beautiful but not ever boring or repetitive
Moses Hogan doesnt miss
This is gorgeous, I hope I can sing something like this someday, praise to the singers ❤
Is this a high school choir?
Yes, this is an auditioned high school choir from two counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
@@davenolan014 thank you! Great job!
I sang for three years in a mixed polyphonic choir. A song I liked was "le chant des oiseaux" by Clement Janequin. The teacher was a professor at the conservatory of Trieste. One thing she repeated to us was "sing with a smile because the sounds come out different" and it's true, the sounds somehow came out different and embellished the music.
Pity the volume is not high enough. It sounds as legions of angels were singing. Thank you so much. The best version I have heard on yt. 60' clapping and standing ovation

Nobody talking about the tenors Edit: I don’t mean to say the other singers are bad it’s just I think the tenors need some attention.
The cleanest I've ever heard
need this shit pumped into my veins
spectacular!
Amazing

Title: Harmony Unites: A Fall Concert to Remember The anticipation buzzed through the air as families and friends gathered in the Fick Auditorium on a crisp autumn evening. Mr. Scott Lehrke, the esteemed choir director, stepped onto the stage, his presence commanding attention. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen," he began, his voice projecting with warmth. "Welcome to our Fall Concert. Before we begin, I kindly ask you to silence all electronics and refrain from using them during the performance. Please enter and exit only between songs, and let the music fill the room without interruption. And when the concert concludes, please assist our custodians by taking your programs and belongings with you. Thank you." With his instructions delivered, Mr. Lehrke stepped back, allowing the stage to be claimed by the first performers of the night, the TTB Ensemble. Their harmonious rendition of "The Way You Do the Things You Do" set the tone for the evening, filling the auditorium with soulful melodies. Next up was the Treble Chorus, their voices dancing through the lively rhythm of "Tico Tico (no Fuba)" with precision and energy, arranged by the talented Sarah May. As the Treble Chorus took their bows and exited the stage, Cantemus and Men's Chorus stepped forward, their voices blending seamlessly in the spiritual classic "Ezekiel Saw the Wheel" arranged by Betty Jackson King. Cantemus then gracefully left Men's Chorus to captivate the audience with the haunting beauty of "Kelvingrove" and the stirring "No More Sailor Songs." With each performance, the audience was spellbound, but the night was far from over. Bel Canto graced the stage, their voices painting a vivid picture with "Orestias," "Eneza Upendo" featuring percussionists Josie Gerlach and Lainey Maniak, and the serene "Afternoon on a Hill." Cantemus returned, their voices lifting hearts with the solemn "Benedicamus Domino," the tender "Wild Mountain Thyme," and the exhilarating "Ghost Riders in the Sky." Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for: Concert Choir. Under the direction of Mr. Christopher Piela, they delivered a breathtaking performance of "Alleluia," "Sing Gently," and the lively "I’se The B’y," accompanied by trumpet, violin, and cello. As the final notes of "Born Free" echoed through the auditorium, the combined choirs of Bel Canto, Cantemus, and Concert Choir joined together. Their voices merged in perfect harmony as they sang "Homeward Bound" and "Hands are Knockin’," accompanied by percussionist Josie Gerlach. The audience erupted into applause, the sound reverberating off the walls as the three choirs closed the evening with the sentimental "Edina Alma Mater" by Roger Sims. With the concert concluded, the choirs shed their robes, revealing smiles of satisfaction and camaraderie. Most members of Concert Choir (including Tarun Varma, Miley Cyrus, Khalil Kaba, Evangelia Karoussos, Johnny Sprague, and Noura Khemakhem, who are the Seniors) eagerly made their way to Dairy Queen Grill and Chill for a well-deserved dinner, laughter and conversation filling the air as they reminisced about the unforgettable performance. In the quiet of the auditorium, Mr. Lehrke and the other directors exchanged proud smiles, knowing they had witnessed something truly special-a night where music transcended boundaries and united hearts in harmony.

Very nice , score sheet pdf?
listened to this tonight at a high school choir concert and can’t get enough of it. especially the tenor part and the “hallelujah jesus” falsetto
The absolutely worst arrangement of any masterpiece I can think of. Thank G_d it’s since been published in its original form.
Did you hear the reaction of the public?
Great performance. PRAISE GOD🎉
Been a decade since I sung this
1:53 What's the stars for here?
* means 'Jine' is pronounced as 'Join'
@@JaehoonShim-i6g oh, thanks! I've seen it in a couple of songs but never got it explained 🥲
It's probably a notation for alternative pronunciation of join/jine. Phonetically, it sounded like the choir sang 'join' this time even though the text says 'jine'. Just a thought, as I don't have the score in my hand and can't see the corresponding footnote.
Bravo magnificent jon
can you post a bass two part for this song please ?
Perfect 3:32
Love this! I remember singing this piece when I was in high school.
