You know what’s crazy? Most if not all of these men you see here in these reels are still missing in action. Somewhere in Russia or Europe, under some soil in a forest there are the remains of these exact individuals. Perhaps maybe even still in their tanks. It puts into perspective the intense fighting and genuine humanity of the Second World War. The fact that so many lives were cut short and their stories will never be told. It’s sad.

wow! that is amazing! I know that it had a lot of problems that costed the lives of many Italian pilots, but I am in love with it. To me it's one of the most beautiful planes of ww2.

Everytime I see this kind of pictures I wonder which of those young men never came back home.

Leider glänzte die Italienische Kriegsmarine des 2.Weltkriegs hauptsächlich durch Kampf Vermeidung, ausgenommen die U - Bootwaffe und Torpeto Reiter, die ausgesprochen Tapferkeit und Mut gezeigt haben. Weiterhin muß gesagt werden das die italienische Großkampfschiffe mit ihrem viel zu kleinen Fahrbereich, und niedrigen Geschwindigkeit sich für Flottenparaden eigenen, aber schon damals nicht auf der Höhe der Zeit waren, wahrscheinlich wussten das die Marineleitung, und vermeidete deswegen immer auch in Überlegenheit den Kampf mit der Britischen Royal Navy, Leider!
