Greg- what are your thoughts of how Milton will effect the west coast of Florida around, Cocoa Beach?

Last night I had a dream about Hurricane Milton. In my dream the hurricane started hooking North as it approached Florida's gulf coast. It then started hugging the gulf coast of Florida and headed straight North hitting the cities of North Florida very hard (Tallahassee and other cities). I don't know if this will happen but when I woke up from this dream I felt very shaken. I told my mom about this dream and asked her to warn our relatives in North Florida to also prepare for this possible outcome. Right now no one is expecting this hurricane to hook North but if it does no one in North Florida is expecting this scenario and they haven't been preparing for this hurricane. If you live in North Florida you need to be watching this hurricane closely and possibly leave Florida as well. If this hurricane does hook North and you live in North Florida you need to leave quickly. If you can't leave then find a concrete commercial building (or concrete hotel) to take shelter in. You need to go to the second or third floor of the building (not the top floor where the wind could peel away the roof of the building). Take your emergency supplies with you to this commercial building (water, food, flashlights, radio, etc). Take this monster very seriously!

Up to the day my dad passed away last year, when any storm would come up, year round, he would get up, put on his work clothes and boots, and be ready for what ever happened. I asked him one day when I was a kid why he did that and that was what he told me, "always be ready."

Are there any analogs for Helene ( maybe Hugo )

The tornado 🌪 that hit Red Springs leveled the school house. My grandfather salvaged the bricks and built his house from them. My parents home was a small mobile home,it was tosed over 100 yards and landed upright. Everything in the home was lost or relocated except for the t.v. and stand it didn't move an inch! Nor do the jar of pickles my mom left on top of the t.v. as she ran to the neighbors brick house with a basment.

Live horror movie. Road out a 2 hurricane in Ft. Walton in 1980. Came back to Alabama in 1990. Went thru the worst tornado in March 18 2018 in Jacksonville Alabama. Hope yall are Ok.

I was in the eyewall of Bertha in 1996 near New Bern and got in the eye of Arthur in 2014. Amazing stuff!!

Nothing like the experience of an eye wall moving through! I experienced Bertha moving over Greenville NC in the 1990s. Great footage!
