    Thanks for the video, I did everything here pretty much exactly the same, but I’m not getting any power to my rear or front camera. Instead of soldering, I just crimped everything and I grounded all black cables into current grounded cables by using splice connectors. I’m not sure what else to do, any suggestions?

      No, but I drove it and sometimes especially at high speed it seemed fine and other times especially at low speed or accelerating from a stop it suddenly felt like a wheel was coming off. The whole car wobbled violently. It is very easy to check. Simply crawl under and inspect the drive line. If it moves at all side to side, the bearing is shot. One look at the center support bearing and it was obvious what the problem was. The whole bearing came apart and left a huge gap so the drive line could move around a lot.

    Thing is, I'm not looking for something that is "cool" I want something that is functional. That is to say--too many things in our lives are becoming Reliant, on aps & smart phones. I don't find my smart phone all that smart excent that it's capable of forcing me to buy a new phone every two years. See my point? Technoloy is only as good as long as it works, or is affordable, as far as I'm concerned, and none of it is becoming more affordable or is it making my life easier. I hate it when Technology tells me what it Thinks is good for me.

      In this case the app is great for me because we leave our cat in my shop when we are out of town. With the app I can see the temperature in there and adjust it if needed. I can also look at the weather and set a routine for the days we are gone to ensure he doesn't overheat. If not for that I would be like you and just turn it on manually when I go in my shop.

    i’ve got a 17 sport and i get this sort of thumping that happens ESP when turning left or right. seems like it’s coming from the rear and maybe the right side too. do you think this may be the cause? i’m gonna have to crawl under and check but it’s funny because it was at the dealers a couple months ago and they never brought it up and i did tell them about it you think they would’ve checked

    • @saggitarian1970

      i forgot to add. it kind of feels like a brake caliper is sticking. when i said it happens on LR turns, i mean from a stoplight etc. it doesn’t happen too much while driving

    • @thehomerepairguy
      @thehomerepairguy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Usually when the thumping is when turning left or right it is a CV joint. You can tell by looking just inside the front wheels. There is an accordion looking round disc in the center of the wheel with a metal shaft going through the center. If that rubber is cracked or ripped or if there is grease or oil leaking from them then that CV joint is usually bad and requires replacement. They are a service item and not too expensive to replace.

    • @saggitarian1970
      @saggitarian1970 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thehomerepairguy it’s only on launch type scenarios IE when youre turning left at the intersection once the light turns green and you can feel it’s in the rear. It almost feels like a caliper isn’t releasing properly but i had the brakes done not too long ago so i don’t think it’s that

      @@saggitarian1970I'm having the same exact issue did you ever get it fixed? What's weird is the noise started last Oct about a month later my rear right tire went flat so i put spare on and then replaced. As soon as i put the spare on the noise stopped completely blew my mind so I'm thinking ok bad tire i guess when put new/used tire on noise still never came back. So now yesterday I have the other 3 tires replaced and had that right rear rotated to the front pick it up and boom the dreaded noise is back. When turning from stop or very slow speed you hear boom boom boom like there is slack in the drive line. I'm at a loss hoping you got yours fixed... Also mine is a 17 Santa Fe limited ultimate

    I had a similar problem and I did what you have demonstrated here. After replacing the board the treadmill runs ok if I don't step on it, if I am on it runs for 32 seconds exactly. After the 32 seconds it stops. Then I have to press the stop button and start it again, it runs for another 32 seconds and then stops. I called a servicing company to re-align the belt and they did. So I know this is not a belt problem. They also lubricated the inner side of the belt. At this time it's looking like it is either a controller problem (faulty replacement controller) or the motor problem which seems unlikely given the motor is working when I am not on it. Any ideas what I can try?

      No. It is my son's truck and he bought the camera from Amazon. Because it mounts underneath the handle area, he got one that has a 45 degree angle to it and it included a few angles shims in case you need a little more or less angle. Works great.

    Great video, my 2007 CRF230F came from California and it did not have an idle screw to adjust or replace (as your video indicates). I did replace the main jet and another jet, both were in desperate need of cleaning/replacing. I replaced them with the new ones that came in the carb rebuild kit to avoid reinstalling jets that were not cleaned enough. Thanks for this handy how-to video.

    Hi. I have a 91 Ford f350 7.5 and I have a egr EVAP problem. I look in the book for the 31 code and it's EVAP low minimum voltage. Is it the same as yours if I change the egr and EVAP?

    • @thehomerepairguy
      @thehomerepairguy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are only three things to check. The EGR valve to be sure it is opening and holds a vacuum. The EGR sensor which you can check with an ohm meter and the vacuum lines which you can check with a vacuum pump with a gauge. It should be one of those. If your is a 91 you may have cracked vacuum lines. Good luck.

      @@thehomerepairguy what's mine is doing is running rough while in park. It's all shaking vibrate bad that it's like it's struggling. Sometimes It be backfiring. I here pop pop pop. And when I'm driving, it runs all smoothly like it supposed to then next minute, it runs all rough when I be trying to accelerate. Like back and forth.

      When you unplugged the connector from the EGR sensor, does the engine sound changed or no?

    • @hendricks177
      @hendricks177 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I check the EGR sensor connector with a test light, it barley lights up. Like it's really dim. Not bright. I have a feeling that's why my EGR valve is not working.

    I have the same radio. I have a question about the front camera. I connected the video, and used the FCCD wire to send 12v to the cam. However when I touch the FCam, it turns on, but it also cuts out audio, and can't get it to come back on. Yours seems to work as intended. Did I miss something?

    • @BillWhetstone
      @BillWhetstone 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I watched again and you didn't talk about the FCCD, did you not have one? I think it was pink and gray.

      I didn't show the front camera install in that video, but I did show it in my jeep video. The cameras install the same. This is the link to the jeep video: studio.th-cam.com/users/videoE-6L3ss_emA/edit You will notice in the video the two cameras are wired differently. For the rear camera the wire to the stereo is a trigger wire. The rear camera gets its power from the back up light circuit. For the front camera, the FCCD wire supplies the power. Hope that helps.

      @@thehomerepairguy Yeah I figured that, but once I click on front camera it will not go away. Frustrating. So I guess the 12 is constant on the FCCD wire. Other than that bugaboo, I am loving the radio.

    I came back to this and and you probably have one of the cleanest OEM Camera placement install. I was afraid I might get the whole wrong, but seeing your video I am sure its an easy placement. Another place I thought of putting it was right inside the half of moon shape of the nissan Emblem, They way you did it is less prone to being smashed if tailgate should come down hard on something. I have since installed the Tailgate assist as well as Pop and Lock Power Tailgate option, both work great. I don't know how i missed the Camera installation area the first time, but I am glad I came back to this video. Thanks again.

    Hello. I came across your video and I'm curious how this worked out for you through the remainder of the summer months. The evap cooler on my house uses a thermostatic control, which is entirely mechanical, and I have to manually switch it on/off. Most of the controllers I've seen seem mediocre, so I was considering different smart relay options (Sonoff and other brands). Any updates on how your experience with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

    • @thehomerepairguy
      @thehomerepairguy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It has been a game changer. My controller has a thermostat, but it always short cycled the cooler and drove me crazy so I had to basically used it as an on/off switch. I have a two story house with one controller up stairs and one down. I used to have to go upstairs to turn off the cooler each time. Now, I can control it from the couch. Also, If we are out of town and return home, I can switch it on from the road an hour before we arrive and have the house nice and cool. My nest thermostats which control my heating and AC give me a readout on my phone so I can tell when I need to switch on some cooling or when I can switch it off. I can even control the evap coolers based on the readout from the nests. I am loving this home automation stuff.
