I think as a 10 year old I never got past the boulder stage! But nevertheless have very fond memories of this game. Along with operation c, bugs bunny and Robocop! Which is also bloody hard!

I loved this game...and I was about 10 or 11 and yes I never got to the end! Even now replaying it at 44 years old I've failed and I was using save states! I'm gonna have to restart as I created a save point on that last level with the jet pack not realising I had a time limit. And I've run out of time and lives and continues!

Robin hood for gameboy is also a great licensed action adventure game in the same vein

Mario Golf on the N64 and GBC are some of my absolute favorite games.

This was the absolute best back in the day

i endured playing this game back when i was a kid. i had no choice because i fkked up on getting this pak. back then, you can only test games with very little time, and mostly just to see if it works. you get around 5mins max fiddling around before deciding if you want to get or not. this is very tedious to play, your character getting bounced back when you hit enemies is very annoying as if combat isn't janky enough. unfortunately, i already finished link's awakening (my very first gameboy game) several times and that is the game i was comparing this to. zelda is amazing and very well polished with very smooth movement and combat. camelot is garbage compared to zelda. the only thing that had me playing through is i wanted to max the sword level, which maxes at level 5 if i remember correctly. the turnips were a nightmare lmao. honestly, i enjoyed playing the torturing dragonslayer GB classic game a lot more than i this horrendous camelot of a game.

I used to like this game as a kid and it’s cause it reminded me of pokemon games which I loved and still do but yea I also like fishing so I thought this was a cool game I also liked Godzilla on gameboy

Somewhat forgettable 90's film? You are outside your mind...

I remember being one of the people wowed by screenshots in magazines back when this was first announced. In reality, the game looks much more fuzzy and choppy than I imagined back then, although still very impressive for the GBC (I just expected too much as a kid). I picked up a copy somewhere or other a few years after release, but by then it seemed rudimentary and dated compared to GBA and DS games. Now that I'm back into Game Boy, I can appreciate what a technical feat this was and how well it actually functions for what it is. Happy to have it in my collection. Anyway, another great review! Really appreciate your channel and hope you'll make more videos someday.

Awesome review. I laughed out loud watching Lara's health slowly deplete while being pummeled with bullets by John Rambo. I owned this one but never gave it much time, as the controls and animations felt kind of clunky. It looks genuinely quite good if you can get the hang of it. Maybe I'll revisit someday.

Really great in-depth review, and genuinely funny. I think I would have loved it back in the day but not sure I can be arsed with all that grinding as an adult. Looks really well made though.

I'm from the UK but have the Operation C version of this for some reason. I remember buying it off a mate in school for a couple of quid (bargain), so maybe he got his copy from the US. Anyway, it's really weird to see the same game with a robot sprite instead of the beefy Rambo guy. I instinctively prefer Op C, but maybe that's nostalgia talking. Either way, one of the best action games on Game Boy!

Excellent review! I loved this game. It's basic, but the driving physics are smooth and it's a lot of fun. So much better than the rubbish Game Boy Color GBA games.

I still think this is the best game for the gb color. You can pick it up and play anytime and never feels like you are missing out of anything on more advanced consoles. 10/10 from me

Eventhough there is no game save/load feature atleast you have passwords to pick up where you left off. I'm sure we've all had our game randomly freeze before and its frustrating especially if you're doing so good with your progress. Passwords help you breath alittle easier and its as if there is a save/load feature considering the passwords.

Those characters that just stand like statues that Rick pushes out of his way are not random people by the way. They are in the movie as the americans Imotep kills one by one in order to fully regenerate himself. The egyptologist and Beni actually move in the game and they are clearly recognizable including the big bad main boss Imotep.

Christmas 1999.. My mom gave me this game as a gift "from" my little baby brother that year...He was born months prior. I always remember thinking "Aw, cool ! my baby brother picked this out for me?! How sweet" lol..I loved this game.I havent played it since at least 2002/03.....aaand I'm now crying, because that is one of the memories that have always been so vivid to me. I miss my mom so terribly. My little brother is now turning 25 in about a week. This game really was soo special to me.

Bro I randomly started humming the mission song and the game hit my memory recall so hard I had to look up the game to be sure I didn’t make the song up!!! I’m happy people still remember this game!

Back in '99 I first heard about this game from a Game Boy Colour magazine. Did play it on an emulator and did find it very meh. Now its on the Switch's Gameboy Colour online sevice for some reason XD.

This is the only one I can find, why this game got selected for gameboy NSO? It made me discover this old video about it now.

As of the 6th of September, 2023, It’s available via the Game Boy - Nintendo Switch Online library. (Since Nintendo owns the publishing rights)

I find it absolutely fascinating that this film is deemed dull and forgettable by a large community. Dragonheart always felt like one of those films that become a timeless classic to me. I absolutely adore this film.

I like the fact you're looking to cover "hidden" and "forgotten" gems of OG GB & GBC, that's a refreshing idea (even if more and more peeps are now doing longplays of all OG GB/GBC/GBA games on yt). Fun fact is I'm a fan of both handheld gaming, racing games and...The Game Boy Printer ! And what led me towards MRA is the possibility to print (winning) certificates as well as cool pics of the characters, locations and vehicules of this game ! Disappointed you did not try to cover this very unique fun factor of this GBC Title. BTW You should have Tried "Mickey's Speedway USA" on the GBC (also dev by UK Legends "Rare"). Unlike this one, it focuses fully on the racing and only that (no stupid mini games and back and forth wandering...). Would have made you way happier ! As for me, I do think there IS Some FUN to get out of this MRA very unique game and I'm still thinking of getting it...at least for the game boy printing goodness !

We just got this game for my 7yo to introduce him to gaming (we don't really play) and for some reason even tho I select English and the signs and instructions are in English, the speech bubbles and whatever it says at the doors is in french.
