Hence, who was in reality was Shahmira? He was a Kshatriya (Rajput) of Khasa origin from Panjgabbar valley, which is close to Rajapuri (modern Rajauri). Jonaraja was the court historian of Budshah (25 November 1395 - 5 April 1470). The latter was the direct descendant of Shahmira. Jonaraja a credible historian describes Shahmira as a Khasa from Panjgabbar whose ancestor Partha had converted to Semitic-Islam. Now a fake lineage is being created by some foreigners for their future agenda. Some are even making Shahmira a Turk. TheTurks (a non-Aryan people) were bitter enemies of the Aryan Kashmiris and Mahmud of Ghazni a Turk was almost liquidated by the Kashmiris. Shahmira was a pure Aryan of the Khasa stock.
