    I am nervous because I have cysts and anemia with extreme heavy periods. Only one ovary has a cyst so I’m assuming they’ll leave the other one but if you have low or no hormones, how does your body even work? Are you full of testosterone and no estrogen? And if you have your cervix removed, is it just a big open hole? Do they sew it shut? I don’t know this I have no clue 🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @DeniseSanger
      @DeniseSanger 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And that I completely understand. It's the reason I had to have a hysterectomy. Each month, 28 days like clockwork for the first time in my life, I had horrendous periods and very anemic. Same thing cysts & fibroids. When your body stops producing hormones that includes testosterone. I do have the bioidentical hormones put in every 4-6 months and they include testerone as well as estrogen. Does that answer your question?

    I needed to hear this video. So many videos on younger women and their experiences after having a hysterectomy. As a 56 year old woman, still premenopausal🤦‍♀️, I wanted to hear from someone my age. As an older woman, my body may react much differently after a hysterectomy - which I’m scheduled to have at the end of 2024 (I’m having everything removed but my ovaries). One of my major concerns was post surgery complications and the sexual intimacy between me and my husband. Thanks so much for being so transparent.❤️

    I know a couple of women whose marriages disintegrated and ended in divorce a year or so after hysterectomy. One of them seemed to have an unhealthyish relationship PRIOR to the hysterectomy, then there was a perforation of a bladder nerve, of course causing a longer recovery term. She had to be catheterized for a few years, constant infections to the point of antibiotic resistance. But the other always seemed perfectly happy in her marriage, with a super supportive/helpful husband (at least seeing from the outside). They just somehow grew apart I guess. My advice; ALWAYS work on strengthening the relationship with your spouse/partner. That way, an "emergency hysterectomy" won't take so much of a toll on the marriage. I'm afraid for my marriage if I need one, to the point that I'm fighting it every step. I'm willing to go through the monthly pain/hemorrhage just to avoid it and having to take hormones to keep my body at equilibrium. I had some cervical/uterine issues recently and my husband said "just take it out babe". I explained my concerns to him, to which he replied that he was not worried about that in the least. God love him, but he's a man. Once the initial fear for what's going on right now subsides; sex will be important again. Hell, sex is important to ME! I love our sex life, but fear it's the only connection we have to each other. I'm working on our other extracurricular enjoyments of each other. For me, it's fishing and watching TV/movies, but I realize there needs to be something intimately bonding us, other than sex. He doesn't think that deeply into anything tho, I don't believe. As another comment said; I see the struggle it may be when married to a narcissist. I am not. IM worried more about future lack of sex/intimacy than he is. Which is odd I guess, but it's a very deeply felt concern. But, as I'm almost 45, and hubby almost 47; I think these concerns would come up anyway with menopause. I'm just not ready at this point and think it could be as soon as a couple months away that I get the recommendation to have it removed. So far all of my medical tests come back normal, besides hemorrhagic ovarian cysts, which I believe is not a concern. But I have a uterine polyp or fibroid & thickening uterine lining that decides to partially drop out through my cervix with each period, with the heavy bleeding. Doc afraid to biopsy because of possible malignancy and becoming metastatic before there's time to remove the rest. But tumor markers negative and PAP negative, so I just have to await her decision. I've made mine: cancer = remove uterus & all reproductive organs. Not cancer = remove the uterus and keep the rest, pretty much. My husband is VERY loving and supportive, so I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about keeping him forever 😅, not because there's been any indication that I wont from HIM, but that I'm worried we as a couple may not have enough in common to keep the love alive. It's a struggle

    With all videos like this, take it as a friendly advise but not as medical advice, from what I can tell she is not a medical doctor or psychologist and it's basically her opinion. This is something she should have clarified at the beginning of the video for legal reasons. True, no sex after any type of surgery until cleared by your surgeon and doctor. Sex should be consensual and not forced, that is both common sense and legal. If forced, it is rape, plain and simple. Yes, you support someone who just had surgery and some recovery take as little as eight weeks to as much as a year and a half depending on the type of surgery performed. The psychological aspect of a hysterectomy, mastectomy, or other sex organs/characteristics surgeries can take longer, this is why counseling is often recommended. Overall, this video is her opinion and she has some good points. Always discuss your concerns and questions with your doctor.

    • @DeniseSanger
      @DeniseSanger 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's right. My opinion. All over my sites and social media, I very clearly state I am not a doctor and that you MUST discuss everything with your doctor. This channel was originally started because I, me personally, could NOT get good information. That is stated over and over. You must not have watched any other video, and that's fine. Should not put blank statements out like that. Emotions come into play as well when, as a woman, what MAKES you a woman must be taken away from you for one reason or another. Add in to that equation, a spouse or significant other that is not supportive, which is why I made this video. If I published the messages and comments they feel they need to send to me, most would have their jaws drop to the floor. I'm not sure if you are actually being sensitive about this situation or not. I hope you are being sensitive and understanding of the trials a woman goes through as she ages.

      She didn’t give medical advice. She said don’t have sex while you’re recovering. And it sounds like the message was geared towards men because when a woman is recovering from surgery, she probably doesn’t want sex. that’s fact not medical advice or anything she could be sued over… that’s just like me saying hey ladies, if you have sex sooner than six weeks postpartum, it can cause complications. I’m not a doctor, but I can say that’s a fact.. 🤔🤔🤔

    I had a similar experience as you with menses that were 50-70 days apart in my 20's and 30's and closer to menopause they were 28 days apart on the dot and hemorrhaging to the point of almost passing out and I could not leave my house. I got to the point of severe anemia and had to have a hysterectomy, I chose to take ovaries too as read from those who did not that often they failed and then needed another surgery and there was no way I was going to do another surgery. I asked for bio-identical hormones afterwards and took the estrogen AND progesterone equivalent because I felt my initial problem was too much estrogen. I took it for 6 months and then my dr. gave me pushback and fearmongered about breast cancer. I weaned myself off them and went through a lots of symptoms I had not experienced while on them including night sweats, insomnia and arthritis pains. I would rather be pharmaceutical free anyway. I feel overuse is the problem with joint pain. I have had to learn to take it easier and I cannot work like I was 20 anymore.

      We have walked the same path, haven't we? I, too, ended up with severe anemia from hemorrhaging. Some months were literally 2-3 days only on the couch. I do not miss that at all. I am now after both hip surgeries back on the bioidentical hormones about 1.5 weeks now and feel MUCH better. Likewise, I hear you on the take it easier part. It's something I very much struggle with and part of my battle with myself. We shall see how the next few months go. Please keep in touch as you continue on your journey.

      Give her 50 bucks ! Seriously, all joking aside . I couldn't imagine the thoughts , feelings and emotions that rush through a woman after such an evasive procedure. And your right patience, care and support will go a long way post surgery. Thanks for the info and video.

      And chatting with the doc. I am back on bioidentical hormones about 1.5 weeks now and feel SO much better. Kudos to you for being supportive. Many messages I received from other men? Not so much.

    VRBO and Airbnb are so overpriced. And finding pet-friendly housing is very tough, especially with cats. Looking for a 2-3 month rental in Sarasota for 2 for under $3,000 a month for Jan/Feb to April. Any suggestions???

      Hi! I'm sorry! I was out for my hip replacement surgery. You are looking for monthly rentals? My suggestion is to work with a realtor. The can find you the best options to fit your budget but they may be a bit away from the beach or other attractions.

    You only go straight into menopause if they remove your ovaries too, not if they remove your uterus and leave your ovaries!

      Why are you out of luck in February? There are rentals BUT many snowbirds as well. You may have to extend the area you are looking at.

    I'm 54 and had my hysterectomy on Tuesday of this week. I have an awesome doctor who did the procedure and an amazing husband who loves me and support my decision. We've been married for 34 years, and he fully understands that I don't want to have a D&C every 3 to 5 years for postmenopausal bleeding. One and done with the hysterectomy.

    Truth. Men will not reveal their real feelings and dealings with a woman without her reproductive organs, because they don’t want to deal with the consequences of Hysterectomy. And they don’t have to at all.Let Karens alone.

    Remove the man’s testicles and prostate then he will feel like you did. I was blessed to only have my uterus and cervix removed due to a prolapsed uterus age the age of 31 yrs old. The doctor made my vagina tighter for some reason like I was a virgin again which made sex difficult because my husband is very endowed. My husband was very patient with helping me get through that experience. I started going through menopause around 60 yrs. old & found a female doctor that does natural hormone replacement therapy. I go every 4 months for the therapy. It has made a big difference in my life. I’m almost 70 and enjoying my life with my husband, 6 children and 16 grandchildren. 😊

    I'm going through that right now. I'm almost 2 weeks post op. Occasional sadness, panic, depression. 😢 The doctor and nurse didn't warn me about this ahead of time. The doctor said it should go away. I hope he's right.

    I think this video is aimed at narcissistic men. My wife literally just had a hysterectomy, luckily been able to keep her ovaries. This was her decision due to health issues and as her husband, I’ve supported everything she’s wanted to do, even as far as her asking my opinion on certain aspects of it. I said it’s your body, it should be 110% your choice/option. I wanted to not sway her decision at all. I think there should have been a precursor saying, for losers like that troll, of just some husbands. I for one know 100% I’m a loving and caring husband. I appreciate your video.

    Questions, Do your doctors have a bad history to where you are from and try to kill you on the opération table because the don't ask questions and don't do there home work before surgerys and you can do nothing about because the are doctors and you are just a regular person who care for your partner??? That happen to my wife and a friend wife in the town who we are living. I always that you can trust to days doctors and medicine but I guess not . Question, how you suppose to walk in to a hospital after that and look at samebody who work in a hospital or in that field and trust them a gen ???

    • @DeniseSanger
      @DeniseSanger 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so sorry. It would be very hard to trust anyone after what you have gone through. That's why I say it's EXTREMELY important to have open dialogue with any doctor.
