We are Darrol and Kathy Martin, ordinary people who held down jobs, mowed the lawn, cooked dinner... and when our kids had grown up, decided to throw caution to the wind and try to fulfil a long-held dream. We took beginner lessons in sailing, then bought a 1988 Amel Mango yacht and set about really getting the hang of sailing and living on board. We have made lots of mistakes, encountered amazing people who have helped us along the way and fallen in love with the freedom of feeling the wind in our sails as we glide through turquoise water or battle the elements as a storm brews.
