Man 1994, I was 14 and I had just moved to a small town in Illinois from Stanton California. Talk about a culture shock, I could go outside on my own and explore for the first time. I idolized my uncle as a child, he was semi pro surfer (he was in demos and got flow (boards and clothing), but still needed to maintain a fulltime job). I had long hair, never wore a shirt or shoes unless I was skateboarding, and my favorite color was hot pink. Illinois was dominated with Carhart Jackets, pull over Cowboys or Packers jackets, and bull cuts as far as the eye could see. I did trim my mane to match Jonathan Taylor Thomas as to blend in with the locals and chilled on the hot pink, but never adorned the Carhart or Cowboys pullover. The kids in Illinois all grew up with one another and most of there parents did the same, but I was new and different. I took some heat from some, but others were curious. When Tony Hawks Pro skater came out, more people would approach me as skateboarding became cool, but soon I stashed the board and started to explore the woods. Camping and fishing became my jam. Armed with my folding knife purchased from an Ace Hardware and yard sale fishing pool, I would escape into the woods for days in the summer. It was David, Joey, and myself. We would smoke our "squares" and talk about all the girls out of our leagues as if we had a chance. Man, those days were great; of course there were the not so great times for sure. Good memories when I was a child .Nintendo great games was at begin of 2000 like Pokemon ,Zelda and others great classics games .

born in 77, grew up in the 80's, became a young adult in the 90's. Very thankful I did too. There will never be another decade like the 90's.

I was born in 1964 so I lived the 90s as a working adult. But there was hope then. Hope for a good career, hope for good relationships, a relatively normal society, and the actual possibility of buying a decent, affordable house. We had won the Cold War, the whole world would become reasonably democratic and free trade was the order of the day. Like millions of others, I miss those days.
