I was working in my shop all day, yesterday, and when it started we were forecast to get about 2 1/2 or 3 inches. If I'd had any idea we were going to wind up with a shade over 9 inches, I'd have put a camera out on time lapse and recorded it...oh well! On the bright side, I did manage to get some things accomplished in the shop, though! Stay Safe!

Very cool old engine! That one is an EMD NW-2. They were 1000hp switchers built from 1939-1949. The PREX 108 was built for the Peoria & Pekin Union Railway as their No. 405, becoming the PREX 108 when she went to work for the Pioneer Railroad Equipment Company. Not a railroad aficionado, that’s just what I found online about that particular NW-2. :) Any good 12 gauge will make those spiders GOOD spiders from a reasonably safe distance! Stay Safe!

That's an old school switcher engine, the kind we would call a "yard goat" on the RR. They used these to switch cars in rail yards, railroads don't use them anymore but today you'll see engines like this at private industries like grain elevators and steel mills and such.

I have only seen 3 of these beautiful birds with 1 being a juvenile on 3 separate occasions and they are the most beautiful I have ever seen.I live on a cotton farm in Arkansas.
