Fame of Salem
Come Aboard Fame!
Fame is a full-scale replica of the first American privateer schooner to get to sea during the War of 1812. Fame was also arguably the first privateer to send in a captured vessel. She seized over 20 prizes in the waters off Maine, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick before being lost in the Bay of Fundy in 1814.
Launched in 2003 from the H. A. Burnham Boatyard in Essex, MA, our Fame cruises on the Salem Sound, where pirates, privateers, East Indiamen, and men of war have been making history for 400 years. Fame sails from Memorial Day through Halloween from Pickering Wharf Marina in downtown Salem, MA, with as many as five times daily. A great trip for all ages!

This property is finally getting redeveloped! The city put it out to bid earlier this year and is getting proposals for mixed-use business and residential projects. There will be a few years for everything to take shape but it's a good location and there's a TON of square footage they can put to use. Great to see that this area is starting to embrace its industrial history and make it new again.
I'm not sure if it was the 90's or very early 2000's, but one year they had a haunted house for Halloween at the factory. That was a lot of fun.
I walked threw lots of that masive building my iron working hall was in the front building and welding class was out back place is masive the elovator
I grew up across the river from the factory when it was Fisk Tire. My uncle worked there his entire life. Fond memories. Thanks.
My Dad worked at Fisk as well

I've actually been in there I just snuck in back in 2004 and in the basements I found fire trucks if you could actually sneak into this place it will be worth every moment took me 2 hours to check the whole place out
Great times there is 50s and 60s. Nice to see such a beautiful park there now super gorgeous location! So glad it was not sold for condos.

Absolutely wonderful subject matter! I'd work on your camera movements, panning, orbits, etc. Music was good. The title text lasted a bit long and blocked the statue. Again, you picked a great place to film. Best of luck with your channel!
