Thank you for the insightful tutorial, Dr. Habib. I recently started using Silvaco for simulating solar cells, particularly perovskite solar cells. I followed the code you demonstrated in the video and generated an "NK" file for user-defined materials, such as CH3NH3PbI3, etc. However, I am encountering unexpected output parameters: Voc: 0.99 V Jsc: 0.8 mA/cm² FF: 80.38% PCE: 0.63% Could you please guide me on where I might be going wrong? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
It seems you may have missed a step or two in the NK file creation process.

From my understanding, the “nk” file is generated for consistent wavelength values, while the index file is used for non-uniform data. However, when I try to create an “nk” index file for the perovskite layer, I receive error notifications such as: "Could not open index file CH3NH3PbI3.nk" "No default material specified for user material: CH3NH3PbI3" (This error appears for all layers as well.) It seems like I’m missing something here. If possible, could you consider creating a specific tutorial to help avoid such errors? That would be extremely helpful!

Current matching gives optimal performance. However, it’s not easy and SCAPS oversimplifies multijunction solar cells. For more accurate simulations, I’d recommend my videos on the Silvaco TCAD simulation of single, double and triple junction solar cells.

You can find plots of it in research papers and then create the nk file yourself using the method shown in the video.
