Surviving a Snowstorm and Severe Blizzard: Building a Shelter Under a Fallen Tree in -21°C
I found myself caught in one of the fiercest snowstorms I have ever experienced. The temperature plummeted to below -21°C, and the biting wind hurled snowflakes into my face, drastically reducing visibility. The storm was relentless, but I had no choice but to keep moving forward.
I managed to build a natural shelter under a massive tree that had been uprooted by the strong winds, positioning it so that it faced away from the blizzard. The air around me was unbearably cold, and everything was covered in thick ice. My fingers were numb, and the cold was overwhelming. But I had to survive.
I needed to warm myself as quickly as possible, so the first task was to start a fire. Once some of the numbness in my hands began to ease, I quickly started sealing the shelter’s surroundings with branches and leaves to prevent the snow and wind from entering.
The fire I lit was my only source of warmth. Carefully, I cooked a hot meal to restore my strength and fight off the cold.
Every moment felt like a challenge, and every decision was critical. Could I survive this brutal winter storm? Watch as I face the harshest conditions nature can throw at me

Collect more firewood to get through the night in this cold, so you don’t run into any problems.
Yes thank you for watching my video ❤️🍁🍂🔥
Try to warm up your hands first because if they freeze, you won’t be able to work. So don’t forget a good pair of gloves, my friend. Everything was great!🙏
Thanks for the tips!🙏❤️
survival is between a man and nature, it’s like expect the unexpected situation whenever nature weather in flick you to extreme, this is when your survival technique starts.
Exactly! Survival is all about adapting to the unexpected and using your skills when nature challenges you. It’s a constant test of resourcefulness and resilience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!🙏❤️
HAY MUCHOS PALOS CORTA MAS Y TAPA

NO SE COMO VAZ A DORMIR TE FALTA TAPAR MAS
Sleeping without proper equipment is undoubtedly challenging. However, experiencing such conditions has always been beneficial for me. My dear friend, I am always prepared for such situations and continuously challenge myself.
TRADUCE AL ESPAÑOL
QUITA EL ATRAVESADO Y LLEVALO PARA LA LEÑA
Thank you for the suggestion! Using larger sticks for both the fire and shelter can help keep the heat in and provide some physical activity at the same time. It’s all about staying warm and active in those conditions. Thanks for the tip!
ATRAS DE TI HAY PALOS DELGADOS QUE PUEDES TAPAR AHI
Great observation! Using thinner sticks for coverage can help reinforce the shelter and provide better insulation. I’ll definitely consider that for the next setup. Thanks for the tip!
PERO YA SE VINO LA NIEVE Y ES DIFICIL Y LOS GUANTES PUES
HAY BASTANTE PALOS PARA TAPAR Y HACER LUMBRE
Yes 🍁🔥🔥🔥
CORTA PALOS GORDOS PARA la LUMBRE Y PARA TAPAR ASI TE SIRBE DE CALENTAR EL CUERPO Y EJERCITARLO
Great suggestion! Using larger sticks for both the fire and shelter can help keep the heat in and provide some physical activity at the same time. It’s all about staying warm and active in those conditions. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you for your feedback and support. I agree that having the basics is important, and I’ll keep improving while sharing my experiences. I appreciate your encouragement!
Wow, this is incredible! Your resourcefulness and survival skills in such harsh conditions are truly inspiring. The way you built the shelter under the fallen tree is genius-this video is both educational and captivating. Amazing work!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I’m glad you found the video educational and inspiring. Building the shelter was challenging but rewarding, and I’m happy it resonated with you. More adventures are coming soon!
Where are your gloves? Good video btw.
Thank you! I left the gloves off for better control while working, but I definitely felt the cold. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Gee, wouldn't a pair of gloves be a nice thing to bring.
You’re absolutely right! Gloves would have made things a lot easier. I’ll make sure to bring them next time. Thanks for watching
First of all, where are your gloves if you were trying to teach Survival why would you be out in the woods in the first place without some type of bug out situation like a bag or a tarp or something?
You raise a valid point, and I appreciate the feedback. Sometimes I like to challenge myself by working with minimal gear to simulate real survival situations. However, I always plan carefully and ensure safety first. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts🙏
The temperature dropped to -21°C, and the cold wind blew snowflakes into my face, The storm was relentless, The surrounding air was unbearably cold, and everything was covered with a thick layer of ice.

@Wildsolocamp 🤩🤣🏕🏔
He is not alone there's a filmmaker so both will be fine!!
You'll spend most of your time collecting fire wood and water
You’re absolutely right! Staying warm and hydrated in such conditions takes up most of the time and energy. It’s all part of the survival challenge.
I think snow is 25 percent water and 75 percent air
You’re right! Snow is mostly air, which is why it’s light and fluffy. The water content in snow can vary, but typically it’s around 10-15% in dry snow and up to 30% in wetter, heavier snow. It’s fascinating how snow can look so solid yet be made up mostly of air!
He needs to seal up both sides of the tree as much as possible
Great point! Sealing both sides of the tree can help create a more insulated and sheltered space, especially in harsh conditions. I’ll keep that in mind for future survival setups
@Wildsolocamp also pine bough on the ground for insulation
@Wildsolocamp also pine bough on the ground for insulation
That is one tough guy
Thank you! It definitely takes a lot of grit and determination to endure those conditions. But it’s all part of the adventure and learning process!🙏❤️
Number one, wear gloves. Without your hands working, you're screwed. Number two, a saw is a better choice than a hatchet for cutting branches. You expend much less energy sawing versus chopping. Take a folding saw and the hatchet. Use the hatchet only for splitting and hamnering, save your energy cutting with a saw.
Thanks for the great advice! I totally agree-keeping your hands protected with gloves is essential, and using the right tools for the job is key. I’ll make sure to bring both a saw and a hatchet next time to save energy. Appreciate your input!🙏❤️❄️❄️
^^*
🙏❄️🔥
People making you tube movies have died from exposure. Do not go so unprepared. No saw or tarp Nature has no felings
You’re absolutely right, and I really appreciate your concern. Safety is the top priority, and being unprepared in harsh conditions is dangerous. I always make sure to take precautions, and I’ll keep your advice in mind to be better prepared in the future. Thanks for looking out!🙏❄️
Awesome video blizzards I love them. 😊
Glad you like them!❤️❄️
What a great job under some very tough conditions.... Again as I have posted over 100 times. You can increase your heat into the Shelter by a good 40% or more if you build a Reflector behind your fire about 3 feet x 3 feet in size.. It also cuts down on the amount of fuel you need for the fire and if done right you may only need half the size of the fire you have.... Where are your Gloves????? How do I know, I lived in a 8x10 Lean To in the Adirondacks over the Winter of 1973 from October to March living off the Land. Which you cannot do today due to the Government...
Don't envy you that night. No bag, no blankets you have to stay up all night to keep the fire going. Good content.
Thanks! It definitely was a tough night, but it’s all part of the experience. Staying up to maintain the fire really tests your endurance. Glad you enjoyed the content!❄️🔥🍂🍁⛺️
Con todos mis respetos eso no es un refugio es una ruina segura
Thank you for your opinion, my good friend, but everything was under control, there’s no need to worry. 🙏
I appreciate your concern and feedback. It’s true that the shelter wasn’t perfect, but sometimes improvisation in extreme conditions is all we have. I’ll definitely consider better options in the future. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
good video now to be harsh i'm afraid i would of built the roof 1st then the back drying that in and making it weatherproof then the front area building a fire No GLOVES no sympathy
Thanks for the feedback! You make a solid point about building the shelter in stages to ensure it’s weatherproof. I’ll definitely consider your advice for future setups. As for the gloves, you’re right-they’re essential! I’ll be sure to bring them next time. Appreciate your thoughts🙏❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! Surviving and creating in such tough conditions is challenging, but hearing this motivates me to keep pushing forward. I’m glad you enjoyed the video-there’s more to come!
