Good deal
Ronnie, you certainly came out good on that one. It’s nice to have those kind of friends.
@@Mark-Marine yes it is, these cows were like their kids. So they just wanted them to be taken care of.
Thanks big brother!!

My big brother doing work !!
I'm at $100 an hour M5-111 and Rhino Apex 3150 batwing. I used to do it by the acre ($15) but people around here (East Texas) would wait until the weeds/grass was as tall as the tractor and the field was tore up from the hogs so bad that I couldn't mow but in second gear. I do have one lady that I still do for $350 but it's close enough to the house that I drive the tractor to it and I am done in less than 6 hours. My minimum is $225 to load up and come to your place. Although there was place that was far enough away that I charged them an hour of drive time and they were ok with it.
@@bearkatljl thanks for the info. It’s amazing the difference the area makes.
A handful of years ago, people would’ve looked at me like I spoke a foreign language charging them $50/acre. However, I’m not going to take $70K worth of my equipment onto their property just for the pleasure of finding rocks, stumps, and their junk with it. Ronnie, your price range is reasonable for the value of your time and equipment. Oh, someone else (like you said) with a 50-60hp tractor pulling a 6’ cutter might do it for less, but to do a 60 acre field running as fast as that tractor could halfway bushhog would still wind up taking them 16 straight hours (at least). So I don’t blame you for not doing small jobs. As far as your videos, video all you do. I’m older than you and have still learned a few things from you - that’s invaluable. Your channel so you do what you want to and folks will either watch or they can move on down the road. I started watching because I like “shredding”, I start for all your content because I like you and your family.
@@Mark-Marine thanks for the kind words mark.
I certainly share your frustration about the wire and T-post. I hit a blasted spring mattress one time that I caused me to break my PTO shaft and an hour to cut that off my blades. As far as 540e, I understand what you’re talking about. I had no idea you hit normal 540 at only 18,000 rpm; that rpm was 540e on my old 7060 - with normal 540 rpm being at 26,000 (if I remember right). I can only assume that you chose 6th because that’s what you were running in normal 540. Did you try a higher gear to see if it would give you the speed you need? Anyway, great video and I absolutely agree - time is money 👍🏻
@@Mark-Marine no I didn’t try a different gear in high range. I will try one next time I have the same conditions. The rest of this pasture is going to be slow because of trees and obstacles. Thanks for watching!!
How much hp is that bota?
@@jasoncrowder2969 105 engine 89 at the pto. Thanks for watching!
did a lot of clearning around my small farm and I've been debating on whether or not to disc up the fields to help level them out and establish a good seed bed for this spring. I don't have near as much tractor as you do so I'd be running a 5-6' disc. I only have about 8 acres or so so not too bad. Thanks for sharing.
@@calvary1808farm I have run them smaller disk also, gotta make do with what you have. I still need to put a turn over plow on this field, but like I said we have to make do with what we have. Thanks for watching
lol at the dog 💩. I don’t blame her lol. Ronnie, since you had your video sped up, I couldn’t tell the RPM of your M5. Were you using your Economy PTO?
@@Mark-Marine no honestly I forgot about it having the eco pto. It will have to use it, because I did look at fuel usage by the hour and it would fluctuate from 2.8 to 3.6 gallons per hour. Thanks for reminding me about it.
what are the those metal things that pop up that you have directly bolted to the gaurds

Reminded me of one of your first videos with your 7060 pulling that Taylor Way disks. You sure have a nice tractor now for a fact. Looks good. I need to do the field here by the house and put a good plot in for next season. I could’ve bought a lot of ground beef for the corn I fed at this year lol
@@Mark-Marine yes I remember that video, I actually use a clip of that one in part of the intro. I understand that corn comment. We put more in our feeder today. I hear we might have a cold snap make it down this far the second week of January. I hope so. Thanks for watching!!

Merry Christmas to you, too Ronnie. Don’t feel bad about no time to hunt - I understand completely as I’ve not been able to, either (and I have a blind and feeder 100 yards from my back door). I love Kubota I have a m7060 2022
Yes me too I am my 3rd one. My first kubota was the M706 it’s a great tractor. Thanks for watching!!
First, I am wondering how your deer season went? As far as the land plane, I’ve never run one that wasn’t leveled to the ground; as both blades should be cutting. The scarifiers/rippers are good to use if you have potholes that need to be ripped up before being leveled out or if you are ripping up earth to in advance of leveling ground out. Ronnie, you, Dave, and your family have a Merry Christmas too my friend.
Ronnie says, “we haven’t hunted much down here because the heats been so bad. I still need to do some more adjustments on that back blade. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!”. 🧡

You are spending money like a wild man.

I have an M5-111 and it's a good tractor. Hopefully that one has the newer version of the DEF header and you won't have those issues like I had but after 4 or 5 trips to the dealer they finally got it fixed. I am curious though if the 12 speed transmission has a gear that goes about 6-6.5 mph? It seems like with my 8 speed 5th gear at about 5.5 mph is to slow and 6th gear at about 7 or so is to fast. Overall I think you're going to like it.
@@bearkatljl that’s the exact speed that my 8 speed did in my 7060. This will do 6.5 to 6.7 in 6 th gear at about 2100 rpm. I have only run it for about 2 hours and I haven’t cut or bales any hay yet, but honestly as you know that will be the test. Thanks for watching!
Ronnie, I am jealous if everything except the payments lol. Seriously though, you have the machine I’ve been wanting. If I was 10 years younger, I’d do the same thing. As far as the ePTO, people who live on terrain like yours use it to save on fuel. Typically, if your M4 would run your attachments in normal PTO, your M5 will run the same attachment in ePTO. The benefit to this, of course, is fuel savings. Anyway, congratulations 👍🏻
I should have just done this years ago. But being in the truck business so long and watching the DEF issues in the trucking world, I was very hesitant. But I will work this tractor hard and let’s see how it works out. Thanks for watching!!!
The stripe on the panels is supposed to be blue. Not black. That 7710 was made in Europe if you didn't already know. If you need to know anything about it, let me know.
I think the m4 was a little under powered for the disc mower, so that’s why I decided to move up. Thanks for watching!!
Ronnie, I thought you had moved on up in the world getting that M4-71D. Now you’re getting an M5-111? You’re eating high on the hog my friend. I’d love to have an M5, but I don’t have the property to justify it like you do. Congratulations👍🏻
Hi. Mono is the best for surf fishing, braid is total garbage, one of the greatest cons in the fishing world.🤗 Cheers from Australia.
Power pro or J braid. Use palmar knot.
@@Jessica37323 yeah but as you can see in the video it wasn’t the knot that was failing, it was the line.
YO ZURI at Wally World. Or Spider Wire is all I use. Its proven .
Was just looking for new braid, anything you suggest for saltwater?
Honestly I didn’t use braid much until david my son started trying to cast my conventional reels, and helps with removing the backlash that he would cause. I have used this beyond braid for about 3 years and until now I have never had an issue. So I really can’t answer this question from experience. But I can tell you I have reached out to beyond braid and they have not gotten back with me. Thanks for watching!!!

Ronnie, I used to have that exact shredder. You’re right about it being heavy duty. As far as your deer, you said that you typically feed them apple-flavored corn? Or did I mishear you? I’m interested because I’ve got to fill my feeder.
@@Mark-Marine yes sir. I do usually fill the feeder with apple flavored corn. But with the shoulder problem right now I just bought regular corn in 40 lb bags. The apple flavor corn I get is in 50lb bags. If I use regular corn I will usually put kool aid mix with it, but I didn’t think ahead and have my wife pick some up at our HEB which is the grocery store we have. Thanks for watching Mark!!
I've got a Rebel 5410. Im trying to replace the haysaver wheels. I removed the center bolt and set screws from the inner and outer bearing. I still can't get the assembly off. Do you know what I'm missing? Help!

Make sure to plug the cable pass through on the rear window to keep the baler dust out. I just bought the same tractor and got rid of a 7060. Front tires was a good upgrade and the 12 speed trans was what got me to trade. Good video.
I do put it back. I just unhooked it right before I shot this video. Thanks for watching!!
I hope that your health issues have clear up. That is a very nice tractor, good luck with your new tractor
I am better now. Thank you.
You bought the Cadillac of the M 7060 line. What an upgrade! Thanks for posting this because when I saw the fender in the last video I knew it was different from the 7060. What a deluxe tractor that will give you a comfortable ride and plenty of gears to choose from. Congratulations again 👍🏻
Thanks mark!!
You caught it. It’s coming tomorrow. I could have baked the next morning but I had the ford break down. Good eye Mark!!!
Ronnie, I think your hay is dry enough to bale when you cut it. I really feel for your crop this year and pray for rain. Now, I can’t believe you teased us with a new Kubota tractor purchase and didn’t share what it is you got! Congratulations.
Ronnie, I’m glad it’s working out for you. It’s hard to judge a time-lapse, but given the amount of dust coming out of the back of the cutter, you’re already bone dry down there.
Yes sir, we are dry. South east Texas has been getting hammered with precipitation but, it’s the same ol’ story dry and hot!! Thanks for watching

Ronnie, I wish you the best with that new cutter - I know those things aren’t cheap. I look forward to seeing it in action 👍🏻
Thanks Mark. I will definitely make a video of it cutting!!
I went with the Krone because I had the 9.5 ft and it was flawless. I mean I just changed the blades and checked the gear oil and greased the u-joints. I did have to replace the vent on the cutter bar because it started leaking oil but other than that all I ever did was cut hay with it.
Nice. In my area I don’t see much Krone, it’s either John Deere or Vermeer. I just can’t beat the financing and Ktac insurance. So that was my deciding factor on this purchase. Now I have a lot of thinking to do, because I am thinking about a new baler. But I have a while to figure that out.
Is that the 9.5 or 10.5? I bought a new Krone 10.5 back in July had it narrowed down between it and Kubota.
9.5, this is the first kubota cutter I will have owned. My other 2 were Vermeer. I had the TM700 and then went to the M7050. Thanks for watching.
