Follow me in my efforts to make lives/things better through helping others, rescuing wildlife, fabrication, welding, cad design and 3D printing.
I was electrocuted at 18 while working at a fast food restaurant and a few months later while working three jobs, I was a passenger in a vehicle rollover which severely injured my spine. While I was able to get some engineering under my belt, I had to stop attending and focus on recovering. This drive to create and design cool things and a lot of free time has led me to some incredible experiences such as wildlife/bee rescue and helping those in need. Join me as I share some of these awesome experiences with you. Thanks for checking this channel out!

A record size bee rescue for our area. Do not try this at home! Just move!!
Record Size Bee Rescue
มุมมอง 1424 หลายเดือนก่อน
This bee extraction involved clearing out three sections of wall which had a volume of around 60 cubic feet. A truly massive hive and a record for this area for as long as many beekeepers can recall. A perfect storm of a great location and a building not used in the summer created a situation where the bees could keep developing the area without being noticed for years.

Thanks, gonna go out and give it a shot right now. I hope it works!
Have you ever tried using a larger nozzle?
Didnt even fly
Make a tutorial video on how to make that hovercraft please please
Нормально печатает? Проблем с выставлением двух сопел по оси Z нет?
You have to dial in the axis and the offset to start then any time you perform maintenance, etc
Please do a tutorial video on how to make it please
Holy crap!! Our farm could use something like that to clear.
It looks all friendly but underneath that is a muchling monster! I have some great videos of it clearing out a giant garden at the end of season. So much fun
So much power!!!
According to the swisher website this model is capable of destroying up to a 3" diameter piece of wood. Not interested in testing that myself but it's definitely a powerful unit:)
This is the best reviews IMO and I’ve watched a crap ton of them! Thanks for this! Gonna 3D print a case for the BEAm - bet there’s one on thingiverse….nope… just checked. There isn’t a wearable case🤔
I really appreciate your comment. I have been really enjoying the glasses when 8 have time. I saw a video on loading the beam with an app download program. It looks like it has great potential to transfer some apps onto it. I really hope the new beam device is available in Canada soon! If you'd like to see the case modded, let me know. I'd be happy to add to it. I almost made a stand that uses the hex holes to clip into.
Ok. How the heck did you do that?
Put water in the freezer for 2- 2 1/2 hrs. Tap it to start the freezing process. Old science class trick:)
Amazing!
Thanks Bro! Much appreciated! Love your stuff!

I.C.E. stinks.
Most of EVs are charged using electricity produced by burning fuel. At each point when energy is converted, there are losses making the conversion less efficient than if you burned the fuel directly. While an electric mower would have been cool, it just didn't fit the heavy duty nature of this build
Amazing video, this has been very helpful. I will be going for the X real over quest.
Thanks ! Glad I could be of help!!
SO WHEN WILL THE XREAL BEAM PRO BE AVAILABLE TO BUY ? NO WESTERN REVIEWS TODATE
I wish I knew
What is the max volumetric flow rate for qidi i-fast ?
Good question, haven't tested it.
From my test is about 15mm3/s for extruder maximum, but will be good test this again.
Just got one, brilliant👍
Nice. Hope you're enjoying it
Do you sell the beam cases? I would like to buy one I have seen the plans, but I don’t have 3-D printer :(
where are you located?
your amazing thank you
Happy to help!!
qual configuração usou e qual o filamento ?
Nice! You’re low key advertising the xreal beam case which you made.. dammit why gotta do your audience like that? Send us a link to your product so we can buy one too/ and I subbed.👍
I keep meaning to post the file but id print one if you don't have access to a 3d printer

Looks incredible!
Thanks! So much work to get to this point!!

You're right! I totally forgot! I'll post a link here tomorrow!!

Oh no! Failio!
thạnks !!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Why don't you have the filament/elastic recessed on the bottom and top? The way you have it the filament will become trapped restricting movement.
It shouldn't need to move and that holds if from doing so. I can upload another version but generally you want the elastics held in place and to act as anti slip for the bottom
can you make a tutorial to make it? its amazing
I hope to soon. I had posted a video about creating a 3d Printable Version but this type of construction is faster and a bit more work involved /satisfying though as you aren't waiting for parts to print
I’ve never seen it in a bag straight from the container.
I put it into the milk bag then tied it off. Makes it easier to do patches and stores without the issue of the top of the bucket always going dry. I have double bagged it as some milk bag plastic has a bit more stretch to it. Cheers, -Nate
Oh my goodness!! What a brave boy!!! And to LAUGH after. Amazing kid 👍 👍 👍 (cuz I'd be crying and Im 54years old lol). I hope i can be like Max when I grow up! 🙌
Lol.. I know eh! It really couldn't have gone any better, all things considered. I didn't really like the rod holder anyway🤣🤣 Thanks so much, he's bigger now but just as awesome!
Thank you for making me aware of this Nate!
You're welcome Culty Talk. Neat fact, Skunks are one of the most shunned creatures on the planet! ❤
#McDonalds 😢
Oh a tag! Great idea!
Nice recovery! Brave kiddo too. No crying. Way to go!!
Thanks!! He's a real trooper eh! I couldn't believe how easy he transitioned from shocked to being able to make him laugh! ❤
What a great hack!
Thanks! It's been a go-to hack I've used for years!

Lol
As it turns out, road salt is not an effective pesticide😂😂😅
Is the i-fast worth it over the x-max?
No, I would buy the xmax, the ifast does print flex better but I hope to purchase an extra hotend to mod to fix that. Dual extrusion is awesome, but... the Xmax3 is very fast. Dual extrusion prints tend to take quite a bit of extra time as the hotend heats up and purges for each layer... I like the ifast. Still use it when I do flex and multiple colours and or soluble supports. If you're designing the things being printed, you can often optimize the design to not require supports. Much of what is designed out there is created with supports in mind. If not the designs aren't usually great as they will also leave out things that make it more printable and often more durable. The x-max series is very nice. I've enjoyed mine. When the settings are dialed in it prints nearly flawlessly. I'd buy an extra side circulation fan as it cools from one side with aux cooling which causes issues on one side and not the other. I was also thinking of redirecting the airflow a bit. I need to get back to modding it. Lol. Thanks for the comment
Check out this 360 video of it running!! th-cam.com/video/3kixT8HgJas/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qNk31fgPUxqerDdX
I got called out to do this removal but did not want to do any of the building dismantling
I can see why. It was a massive undertaking and the liability was off the charts in hindsight.
I have a quite a bit of video from the inside as well as 360° footage that you can look around in. Just trying to figure out how to edit it. Next up is the top, inside part of this wall. Then a few 360° videos to show a bit more and allow someone to immerse themselves in this. Uh. When I say that out loud, I am not sure anyone will watch them.
Super cool to see how well that kayak outrigger worked for you. I have to admit I laughed a bit when I saw you trying to figure where he went. They were doing so well to evade you on water it makes you wonder why they would go back to land.
It blew my mind that they can swim 50+ feet under water!! The outriggers were such an incredible asset to my time doing rescues
Really interesting and cool
Thanks ! It was such an awesome day! I am still so happy you have recovered this footage years later!
Hey! Glad I caught the premiere!
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated!!
Were you able to re-home the bees?
We were. I don't know the numbers but many hives were either given extra bees, splits were made, and much of the honey was used to help bees survive over the following winter. It was a big boost for those who ended up donating much of their time(including myself) To make it all happen. Great question! Thanks for asking!!
Great job! Well done! @@melioratewithnate
@@BrantAerials Thanks!
So neat to see this!
Thanks:) it brought back some cool memories !
This was tried on a much larger scale, the giro scopic effect of the rotating fan caused problems, which I guess could have been overcome with contra rotating fans
I have my fans spinning in different directions but the are clearly on different planes which doesn't help. These have been incredibly easy to handle. I would say counter rotating or dual fans at the back would be interesting in a life size model but this works super as the system is bottom heavy and gyryoscopicaly stabilized. At the end of the day, I find the toys are a blast. Any real instability goes un noticed as the lift bag is built wide to help balance out any Instability
Question! The brand Viture also makes a mobile dock accessory for AR glasses that I believe has way more battery life and stability than the Xreal Beam, but it does not give you the Smooth Follow, etc. Viewing options. Would that be a worthwhile trade-off in your opinion for playing Switch and PS5?
I saw yhe virtue. There is an interesting Canadian brand as well that custom forms the headset to your face. It's about 800 more. I do think smooth follow makes it that much better. It's more natural and basically replicates what your eyes are used to doing when your head moves, ie. Keeping the image still. So it feels more natural than keeping them focused straight ahead. I do think seasickness would be an issues otherwise. Other than that I think the experience might be similar as thru both use high resolution pancake lenses to achieve the result. I did notice that the virtue glasses seem smaller which could allow more light in and seem less immersive. I could be wrong but from what I have read/seen this seems to be the case
Xreal makes the exact same adapter now. It is on Amazon for $39 I just ordered me one. It allows you to charge the device while using the Glasses.
@WOojerVest3andQuest3onMe thanks for letting me know. I kept mine and hope to do an update soon.
