      Thanks! I made a Scorpion YEARS ago, when I first started playing. But I didn't know about piston glitching, and we didn't have the aiming servo or decals. Honestly, the best time to make any kind of tank is now!

      @@caydenplayz1790 I considered it, but I decided against it for a few reasons. I wanted people to be able to drive and shoot if they wanted to, or if they didn't have another player to gun for them. Driving already uses the aiming servos, so it would've been impossible to drive and shoot. The passenger can also use the turret, and I wanted them to be able to look freely without affecting the turret in case they had a gunner too. The minigun already has aim assist, so I thought aim assist and the aiming servo was overkill.

    Hey, I was wondering how you got the timing for the ball? I’ve been trying to make my own pong for a while. I quit a while ago and just came back to see this. I just haven’t had anything to trigger the ball to move

      @NitroBedwars IIRC, the ball uses 2 OR Gates with opposing +1 and -1 outputs with a 0.02 Duration and 0.08 Pause to simulate the game updating. Those get fed into AND Gates that also check what direction the ball is moving in and updates Accumulators that track its X and Y position.

      @@ThatGuyshouse I just uploaded a build video of a painting easel. th-cam.com/video/26_2fHjZddI/w-d-xo.html That uses this logic to loop through the paint colors. You could use it for weapon firing modes. Or shifting gears/engine power in a car. Basically anything where you might want to quickly get from the last setting to the first without having to go through everything in between.

    when i repair some times the rc part doesn't respawn is there a way to fix this? and do you have to use or gates?

      @@ooktooknook That's just what happens with detachable blocks unfortunately. It doesn't always respawn the full build once it's separated. You'll have to just respawn it from your blueprints if it happens. And you do have to use OR Gates. That's the only way the RC can get inputs after detached.

      It's a LOT of logic! 100 Accumulators, 100 AND Gates, and 100 Arithmetic Gates for the pixels alone. Then there's painting and erasing pixels, and clearing the canvas. I wanted to code an ink dropper tool so you could copy the color of the pixel you were on, but I ran out of complexity. The trick to this is finding the difference between your current color and the pixel's color. Arithmetic Gates only sum your inputs, so you have to do some janky -1 multiplication to get the differences. For example... Paint Color = .75 Pixel Color = .50 Total change needed = .25 Feed the current color into a -1 multiply Arithmetic Gate. This gives you .75 x -1 = -.75. Then feed the -.75 and .50 into another -1 multiply Arithmetic Gate. This gives you (-.75 + .50) * -1 = .25. Feed that .25 into the Accumulator (Scale = 1 and Use Steps checked) and it will change your .50 up by .25 to get the .75 we want! There's more logic to only do it when you press the paint button, but that's the gist of it.

      @@ooktooknook Your main seat has to be the first seat placed in the build. So you'll have to delete the RC seat, and then re-add it. That will make the main seat the one you always sit in.

    Can I make a compacted version of this and post it for ScrapMan? I'd credit you, of course. I'm thinking of a race idea by putting it in a small detachable remote-controlled vehicle which is attached to a trailing fuel tanker. The race begins as it detaches from the tanker, the car drives until it runs out of gas, then they have to switch to the tanker to catch up to their car to refuel via a distance sensor. Repeat until finished the race. Everyone in the race would have to avoid refueling the other racers' cars too. Repairs would automatically bring them back to the tanker behind them so it would avoid being able to skip ahead. Sound like a fun idea?

    if those ANDs' inputs are only from a NOR and keyboard (controller) what's the difference of using ORs instead

      On console, triggers and joysticks can output between 0.00-1.00. But for consistency (and accurate steps) we need them to always be +1.00/-1.00. You get those consistent numbers if you combine the inputs with the NOR. If you're only using buttons/keys, then you can scrap the logic that comes before the tan OR Gate. I tried to mark the logic. The arrow decal marks logic needed for inputs that can "scale up", and the circle decal marks logic needed for buttons.

    Logic * Green logic is for increasing the Accumulator and checking for conditions to loop to the start. * Red logic is for decreasing the Accumulator and checking for conditions to loop to the end. * Blue logic is the Accumulator feeding into Comparison Gates to know when to loop. * Tan logic is red and green logic combining. * Purple logic is used to multiply and invert red and green logic. * If we change the Accumulator by a negative, invert and multiply to go to the maximum. * If we change the Accumulator by a positive, invert and multiply to go to the minimum. * Yellow logic is a NOR Gate that combines with the AND Gates for trigger and joystick controls. Important Stuff * The Accumulator Scale on the left example NEEDS to be 60 to stay in sync with game loop updates, otherwise the steps won't work. You can customize the Accumulator Scale on the right. * On console, the trigger and joystick logic in the left example marked with red/green arrows can create values between 0.00 and 1.00 depending on how much you press them. But this creates logic inconsistencies, so we need to force the output to always be 1.00. The yellow logic solves this. If you only want to use buttons (A, B, X, Y, bumpers, D-pad), then you can delete any logic BEFORE the logic marked with red/green buttons.

For a spaceship, if you want it to automatically refuel when you land or something, you could probably just remove the yellow logic entirely and green logic near where I marked it with the black fuel drum icon. Then feed a Distance Sensor into the green Multiplier. Then it can auto refuel.

    Logic * Red is gas and brake logic and decreases fuel when used. * Green is refuel logic and increases fuel when used. * Blue is fuel logic. Refueling can only be started once the fuel is empty. * Yellow is drive disable logic. Driving is disabled when refueling, and is enabled again once refueled. * Tan logic is drive logic. Driving is enabled when there's fuel and you aren't refueling. * There are 2 gates here (+1 and -1) in order to cancel out the effects of all conditions coming in as +1. If they were all +1, then when using a trigger or joystick on console for gas/brake, it would always go full throttle even if you only pulled the trigger a little bit. Customization * Accumulator Scale and all Multiplier Constants can be customized to set fuel usage and refill speeds. Optional * Back green logic auto-refills at the set refill speed when spawned in. * Back blue logic (coupled with the back green) insta-refills the gas when spawned in. * Back purple logic is an ignition that also very slowly uses fuel when the vehicle is on.

      This is just one way to do refueling for cars specifically. But it's still a good template to start with. If you want to (for example) refuel an aircraft while it's landed, you'll likely need to adjust/remove some of the yellow and green logic and conditions for refueling and disabling controls.
