Who takes a spade on a day out and finds so many convenient size rocks nearby. Like the guys who suggest taking a 'survival axe' on a plane journey.
Bogus click bait. Cute, wouldn't work. Horizontal roof frame should have been on top. His, the string would have to hold up roofing. And roofing will leak. Cute though
7:30 armchair for the Flintstones
In fairly new to this You Tube thing Do I criticize now or wait till I watch the video Just wanting to do it properly 😂
Dug outs fill with water so why waste your time!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
More fool me for watching this. I will try not to be taken in next time.
Where did the clean rocks come from? Lucky that no large roots in large hole
Hello❤❤❤🎉🎉
I wanted to do something like this but not sure to do if water collected in side
Wonder how comfortable that Flintstone couch is
Hmm,not good enough for long term use and far, far, far too much work and effort for one or two nights. Something like this is only worth doing for multi day/night use and doing properly, this structure isnt up to it. Daft idea with the huge stone sofa/chair too. If theres such an abundance of wood and branches, make a bed sized seat you could actually stretch out on and sleep.
Uh, how many people have access to that many stones, ? Ridiculous 👎
WOW ! Making all that construction , you have to be Superman 😂 .
Amigo a la persona no nos gustan esos videos así tan rápido eso no sirve así rápido traté de poner eso en cámara lenta
Great video & great shelter, but why filled the floor, with rocks? More of the straw makes sense 😮 don’t you think? lol
I think videos like this one illustrate the same principle as the person I know who bought a very expensive 4X4 truck, then paid a bunch more money for mods to create the perfect off road vehicle. He shines and polishes it every weekend, but would never take it off road. The purpose of the video is to show what you can do, not what is practical.
It is ok but he should have put a tarpaulin on the roof than apply the thatch roof to save the camp from the rain
I love this.
Way too many rocks for my taste.
Apparently you never heard of the modern and acceptable philosophy and practice called leave no trace. In other words don't fk around with nature.
A lot of work to have a drafty, uncomfortable shelter (?) which has high potential to flood when rains come, and may gather water from shallow ground sources even in dry season. If you like to freeze while sleeping sitting up on cold, wet stone and enduring wind whistling through, this design may be to your liking.
Sorry for your poverty! 😢
Ah to have ground with no rocks. Digging where i am takes ages cause of literal boulders under every inch 😅
Just happened to find the stove...and pipe! What a stroke of pure luck!!
In 2005-06 i built a primitive style pithouse in the White Cliffs area between Zion NP and Kanab and have lived in it ever since. Took me a whole winter to build. Stays cool in summer and easy to heat in winter with a small wood stove.
Would of thought he would of just found a bed, kitchen sink and a shower/ bath tub! Hope they were scented candles just incase a beautiful forest nymph wondered by! 🤣🤣 Peace to the World 🙏 🏴 🇬🇧
It's called a trackho
Another bit if silliness. All that earth wasted when it vould have been used in the wall to remove dragts and aid water resistance. The roof is useless with no overhang to protect the wall. Needs much more thatch. Steps badly designed against elements. What coukd have been the basis of a legitimate shelter turned unto tripe for views. Little more than a kid making a fort in rhe woods
I can't stop laughing...
Why does he need candles when he has 210v and light bulbs?
What a waste of time and labor.
Next time place the dirt you dig out in a ring around the structure; make a lip by the entryway to prohibit flooding...
Why do all these so called survival shows always end up being a cooking show?🫢
Building a bath if you don’t have trenches to divert water away from
Pretty cool and amazing skills! Of course if it really rains you’ll get flooded out and wish you had built it with a better roof on top of the platform instead of dug into the ground where it will fill up with water. But for the purposes of this video and for demonstrating cool construction methods in the wild that’s pretty awesome! Thanks for the bush craft!
This shelter seems more suited to a semi permanent situation. It would expend precious calories and quite a time investment. Suitable only if there is sufficient edible vegetation & game in the area to justify the investment. Still a clever design
This is really cool, but really inadequate for shelter and not practical. There's no way this was built in a day.
After he’s done, does he have to put everything back the way it was when he got there?
Dude needs a partner 😅
Not believable at all. No human can move that fast. 🤪
Out mountain biking i found an ingenious home in the woods. Below a ridge where rocks had cracked and slid about 8 feet leaving a 4 foot deep by 8' by about 20'. It had a tin roof rock walls a working door and wood stove.
U was on it man but i wouldve dug my stove out of the ground tunneled away to the back w a mud chimney so u couldve rully roofed in case of rain lolo
These guys think they're tough and all that spending a night or two in the rain and whatnot. Try being homless, outin the same elements with nothing to protect you but ratty clothes and a damp cardboard box for shelter and then tell me how tough you are. Oh, there's also no vehicle to take you home if things get too rough.

How come no one ever builds a t-pee?

Pretty lame setup
That would be a nice little swimming pool when it rains
Try sausage with your potatoes and onions.
Must be a stone genie the way those lovely clean stones are appearing
O had a friend called Jamie Bunsin who used to build shelters like this in his mom's backyard. We would use them as a toilet.
