Fall On The Farm in Butler County, Ohio

In fall of 2023 Butler SWCD visited with 3 area farmers to see their operations and collect some drone footage and images. Fall is a busy time fertilizer spreading, wheat planting, harvesting, and much more all need done on the before the weather turns bad for the winter season. Stay tuned for a 2024 planting video.

Planting Green Into Rye Cover Crop

Modern methods meet older equipment. This farmer uses very well maintained farm equipment, we felt like this was a throwback to the 1980's. Watch along as they are planting "green" into a standing rye cover crop in spring of 2023. Let us know what you think.

What is the weigh of the roller without water in it /
I would estimate this weighed over 500 #s as is. Water weight is roughly 8 pounds per gallon. I definitely wouldn't recommend pulling it completely full. A lot of folks I spoke with just run a small amount of oil to prevent rust inside the cylinder.

This particular crimper was manufactured by the I&J Company out of Pennsylvania. There are many dealers across the United States that sell this brand and other brands of roller crimpers.

So you are using beneficial insects to control harmful insects how ?
Provide (don't mess up) a suitable environment for them so that when the invaders turn up they breed up on the food availability till the feast is over.
Then after forming a cocoon..in how many days butterfly comes out..is it same as chrysillas
It depends upon the species of butterfly or moth, typically from 8 - 14 days.
