Dad was always a brass band fan. He loved this movie and even though I am not as much into brass bands as he was, I still thought this was a very memorable movie. R.I.P. dad.

It gets to me every time I watch it ,I get goosebumps everytime I cry everytime,because I've been in the same situations so I know.❤❤

As a Swiss the Wilhelm Tell Overture is of course one of my favorites. During my active time as musician I have been playing the cornet (thereof 1 1/2 years in a British Brass Band in Sussex), euphonium and during the last years Eflat tuba. Apart from that I have watched this great film many years ago and still love it today. Especially Pete Postlethwaite did a brillant job, RIP

As a euphonium player this movie really hit close to home on the references made to everyone calling it a trumpet and the annoyance portrayed in response. Although I’m used to being called a baby tuba which is even more insulting! This movie really hits close to home as an American. Especially as a euphonium player. The only place we are taken seriously is the brass band. This was a damn good movie!

Ewan McGregor, playing the alto horn player distracted by the lovely cornet player, actually played the French horn when he was young.

One of the greatest movies ever. I saw it 15 years ago and still feel the same emotion.❤❤❤

I’ve listened to this song many many times and I love it so much. I’m a baritone player and love what they do with this!!

Other than the fact that this is a great performance and a very entertaining clip from a film, it appeals to me since my mother's family all left Wales(Merthyr Tydfil) in the mid 19th century and came to the US. That alone adds enormously to the appeal of this for me.

Every country town of any size had a Brass Band in Australia I think they are gone now or at least dying.

Such an uplifting and also such a sad film but a must watch 😢

These brass bands were a part of our English Heritage ! Sadly we are being white washed out !!!
