Here OYO ‘13-‘14 alumni, Ryan Schmidt shares his OYO experience.
"As someone who grew up in a rural area in northern Macomb county, being a member of the OYO Symphony Orchestra was a tremendous time of growth, learning, and extremely rewarding musical experiences. When I think of OYO, I think fondly of the excitement for rehearsal each week, and the joy of being there. Without OYO, I would not have been exposed to higher level music making. The fact that it was in such a safe, positive environment that it took place made it an extremely inspiring experience. It helped me get really excited about music and pursuing it in college. As someone who now has a music degree, I still look back on my time in OYO fondly." - Ryan Schmidt, OYO Alum '13-14
