I met the fabricator of that model of the USS Enterprise. It is one heavy chunk of steel. The staff that were in the visitor centre were great people, at least a few years ago they were. If you take a wander around Vulcan some businesses are 'branded' with Star Trek. BTW this was all dome with Gene Roddenberry's blessing.
