It's possible the hidden tunnel is there in the regular castle because it is used in the reverse castle and the rooms were just flipped. In the reverse castle, you can fly with mist or bat forms into the space and access that area without editing the game data. It's also possible the voiceovers were removed from the US version due to data space restrictions, but I don't have any way to confirm that, it's just a possible reason.

Fairly sure we all knew this. The colors and their layout along with the angle placement of the letters played a role in making it appear as 3D.

Even the arcade version is off... The background is right, but there were color strips on the monitor to change the colors of the invaders, ship, bases, and saucer. I wish they would've put in an extra 5 minutes to add the code to show the proper colors.

I did this on the console version when i was a child sometime in the mid-90s. I was in the game room of some friends of my parents'. I vividly remember doing this, even though it's supposed to be only possible on the arcade version. It still perplexes me to this day.

The logo is an abbreviation of Playstation and is actually a static 3d image rendered on the hardware. This was done to show the power of the Playstation and as a test for the gpu. If the gpu fails the logo will not appear. However this error only appears if you have a mod chip that corrupts the gpu. This because the bios does a check of the system during the sony entertainments logo loading screen. If the bios detects a problem it will freeze at the sony logo screen or take you to the red screen.
