    Can it pass error messages through, our system depressured and the first thing I knew was a complaining family so it would be nice to instead get an alert

      You can implement some notifications on the sketch level

    Kendim kombim için röleli termostat yapacaktım fakat Buderus gb122i modülasyonlu kombi olduğu için on- off verimli olmuyormuş. Sizin termostatınız opentherm uyumlu ama yazılımınız kombi modülasyonuna uyumlu mu? Isı direnç sensörü daha uzak olmalı.

    Здравствуйте Игорь, а магазин Diyless, ваш? А то что то там не отвечают по мейлу. В Армению продаете ОТшилд с БЛЕ датчиком? И не понятно отображает ли там давление и есть ли управление dhw ?

    I see that this is a few years old now, so not sure if work continues on this project. I could see many people paying for a variant of this split into two components that communicate via Zigbee and/or WiFi using the OpenTherm protocol: 1) A "receiver" (server) component that would be installed in a mechanical room, connected to line power (24 to 240VAC), and wired to control one or more HVACR devices. This could be a standalone product that could be controlled by off-the-shelf OpenTherm thermostats. 2) A "sensor" (client) component with temperature sensor, humidity sensor, and a 10-year lithium battery like the ones used for smoke detectors. It would have no display and would be configured wirelessly.

    Is this suitable for Home-assistant? I need to interface my Riello Boiler with Home-assistant to read some boiler parameters. Better with opentherm gateway integration for Home-assistant.

    Just bought your adapter for an arduino and got the hooked up to my vitodens 100 and talking back to homeseer automation using the engimatheatre arduino plugin in api mode

    I built my own thermostat with this hardware and it works perfect. It took me some time to dial-in the correct PID settings, but now it's better then any commercial thermostat. I placed the temperature sensor outside the casing to avoid the heat from the ESP itself. Also implemented an interface with Domoticz based on the "Opentherm Gateway with LAN interface," so I can control it with the Domoticz app. Code share on request. My thermostat is running with a "Remeha Calenta" heater for more then a year now, without any problems.

    I recently bought this shield from ihormelnyk. I had some issues with the temperature reading not being accurate. The problem appears to be that the thermistor is too close to the esp (which can generate a lot of heat depending on the code you are running. The temperature difference between the esp and the environment can also differ depending on the environment temperature). Maybe it was because I cut the leads too short, or because my code is very inefficient, but I just wanted to share that I solved the problem by soldering some additional wires between the shield and the thermistor (about 15cm long wires). Now the reading is the same as my analog thermometer.

      Yes, you're right, it is recommended to use wires, because the ESP controller emits a lot of heat.

    Is it possible to design a fully wireless solution? I assume, with the realization of what we can see in the video, you would have to place the module to the place where you want to control the temperature, however the signal is not transmitted to the OT port of the boiler wireless.

    • @IhorMelnyk
      @IhorMelnyk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course it is possible, just use similar controller to transmit commands over Wi-Fi or make wireless temperature sensor.

      @@IhorMelnyk Thanks. I have a Remeha c-Mix controller that in theory supports opentherm. I measured with multimeter the voltage and it reads and jumps between 5 and 5.4V. Does it have a different range? Thanks again

      @@fulesmackofule Most of the time line is in idle state. Voltage should be under 7V. So I think you have the same range

      @@IhorMelnyk I'm thinking about putting it together. How can I transmit between two modules over WiFi? Can your box act as a relay host between the room thermostat module and the boiler? What if I want to control more zones/rooms? Thanks

    Thank you, this very useful, I have one Buderus GB012 without any thermostat, and one berreta with their smart open therm thermostat. I will try this with the buderus one, it would be nice to add mqtt support to integrate it with other smart devices.
