Baby magpie chick frolicking in the sprinkler
This is one of three of this year's brood to proud parents Tom and Chana! She is discovering the delights of a cool sprinkler on a hot summer's day for the very first time :-)

Huntsman spider making her egg sac #2
มุมมอง 7113 ปีที่แล้ว
It's been 7 years since my last Huntsman egg sac video. Obviously this is a different gal, and this time I've managed to get some XCUs (extreme close-ups) of her amazing butt action! Hanna (for that is her name) is fastidiously laying down layer after gossamer-thin layer of silk, gradually building up the thickness of her protective egg sac over a number of hours. Inside are upwards of 200 tiny...
Baby magpie is so adorable!
มุมมอง 4965 ปีที่แล้ว
This video of a baby magpie and her mother was just too cute not to upload. One of my favourite parts is around 2 minutes where she somersaults! She is just a few months old and is exploring the world and getting into strife - just like any human toddler :-) Sorry about the shaky video, but the PATHETIC new TH-cam Creator Studio no longer offers the option of correcting shaky video. Nice one, G...
Dog Loves Picking Up Rocks - the Bigger the Better!
มุมมอง 1.6K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This crazy dog is just nuts about picking up rocks in his mouth! He prefers chasing rocks to chasing balls, and constantly challenges himself to pick up the biggest rocks he can fit between his jaws. He's never been taught this or encouraged - he just can't seem to help himself! Laurel or Yanny BACKWARDS! What Do You Hear?
มุมมอง 8K6 ปีที่แล้ว
LISTEN to LAUREL vs YANNY in REVERSE - WHAT DO YOU HEAR? By now, we've all listened to the original "Laurel or Yanny" clip that took the internet by storm mid-May 2018 - some hear Laurel, some hear Yanny. BUT IN THIS CLIP, YOU CAN HEAR WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE BACKWARDS - AND THE RESULT WILL AMAZE & STUPIFY YOU! Do you hear the same thing backwards as forwards? Does it sometimes flip between Laurel ...
Magpie gets a gourmet dinner!
มุมมอง 1.7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Since it was a special occasion, I treated one of the local maggies to a gourmet selection of fresh, live crickets! These are the same type of crickets that I use to feed my inverts (spiders, scorpions, centipedes, etc). The Aussie magpie is not related at all to the magpies found in Europe and England, and has a completely different appearance and call.
Massive spider crawls up and down man's arm!
มุมมอง 6K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Having found a massive spider inside his house, this crazy bloke has allowed the creature to crawl onto his arm, after which he SLOWLY walks outside with it to release it into the garden. This is a Huntsman spider, very common in Australia, and actually harmless to humans despite their formidable (and frankly, quite hirsute) appearance. This is a rebooted version of my original video "Me handli...
Roach Wrestling!
มุมมอง 1.1K7 ปีที่แล้ว
DON'T MISS "Live Underground WWE RoachWrestlin' Action"! Direct from the fearsome Tank of Random Inverts, Rambo Roach and Ralph Roach face off in the title bout of the evening! These two fierce rival Australian bush cockroaches will either fight it out to the death... or... er, I'll just take the lid off and the sudden rush of air will frighten the poor wee creatures so they'll both go scurryin...
Hooded Scaly-Foot Lizard Feeding
มุมมอง 1.2K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Warning - if you're squeamish about seeing a lizard eat a live cricket, this video might not be for you. This is an Australian Hooded Scaly-Foot Lizard, eating a feeder cricket. As it has no legs, the scaly-foot is often mistaken for a small snake, but it's actually a legless lizard.
Bulldog Ant Preening and Grooming Herself
มุมมอง 4.3K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a gorgeous Aussie bull-ant keeping herself (well, I'm assuming it's a female) all neat and tidy, just like a kitten. EDIT: Turns out this was a Queen, as she laid some eggs :-) They are very fastidious, constantly grooming - and just like cats, they often take on quite amusingly contortionist positions which don't look at all comfortable! In the second half of the video she is clinging ...
Hand-feeding a Huntsman Spider
มุมมอง 9K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This is Greedy, one of my female Huntsmans who's just over a year old. She loves to be held. And fed. Preferably both. Pleased to say that this vid just got picked up by National Geographic :-) This video is being managed exclusively by Newsflare. Giant Centipede (Ethmostigmus rubripes) catching a cricket

Here's a quick centipede feeding vid. This is the gorgeous "tiger form" of this species. This pede's sting can cause severe pain in humans which can last for several days!
Feedin' time @ the spider farm
มุมมอง 4259 ปีที่แล้ว
Feeding day - here's three of the lil Huntsmans enjoying their supper The music was just playing on the radio, but to give it its rightful attribution (so as to boost their sales without any extra charge!) it's Limousine by Beach Baby. EDIT: OK, so TH-cam didn't like the fact that I was trying to attribute Beach Baby's song correctly, so now I've had to replace Limousine with a TH-cam-suppled t...
Blackburn's Ghost Moth
มุมมอง 7K9 ปีที่แล้ว
OK folks, here's another video of me touching a huge moth, which is inevitably going to make some squeamish people... squeam? This is the gloriously coloured Blackburn's Ghost Moth - Aenetus blackburnii - or possibly Aenetus tegulatus, it's pretty hard to tell them apart. Unfortunately the moth in the video was quite the worse for wear after kamakaziing itself into my window pane one night, but...

These guys are literally the greatest aerial hunters in the animal kingdom. More than birds of prey, more than bats, more than dragonflies or Asian hornets. It's robber flies who are the ultimate aces.
Whys it so absolutely donk'd out? Bites lip
He’s so happy
It’s so chill 👍
Magnificent little killing machine, I'm amazed at how docile and comfortable he/she is to stay on your hand!
Am I the only one who is both terrified and intrigued by insects as a whole. They are so cool until the start to fly and I can't deal with it I just freak out 😅
Se era appesa si liberava prima....non hai fatto che peggiorare sua situazione....
Once it returns in the wild, it will become the Thief of the Hives.🍯
It’s Mothra
Sounds like A10 and drone had baby.
1:19 I CANNOT unsee a motorcycle with legs in this shot…
Motorcycles are based on ants - wasps shape, most bugs have similar shape too
@@redrage369 Huh, interesting! I don't think that most bugs have this shape, mainly just diptera (flies) and hymenoptera (ants, bees, and wasps), but I wouldn't doubt that motorcycle manufacturers take inspiration from this part of nature!
@@ISplimeI helicopters are inspired in dragonflies, submarines on whales, we mimic nature for our inventions
@@redrage369 yup! I even joke that dragonfly heads look like the helmets that helicopter pilots wear. XD
The *REAL* Skeeter Eater. Or Mosquito Hawk. Move aside, phoney crane fly. 🪰
This fly was "invented" I can tell finally 🙌 in a lab purpose? To control other varmints its a fly that got "Pimped Out" Customized taken off the Factory belt and put on the SFT belt Special Fly Team 🪰
I like one it pretty color
Robber fly: I have the loudest buzz! Giant Asian hornet: no I do! Hercules beetle:
A10🧐💀

Those wings sound like a a-10 warthog firing it’s 20mm cannon

It has a 30mm tho

Beautiful, epic video.
Very cool, and nice job handling and photographing it. Insects are amazing.
Good job, lil' guy!
The shape and design of this fly influenced the copters in Dune
Guys, ideally the pupa is buried in the ground which helps it emerge as it pushes against the soil. Holding it in your hand risks a botched emergal!
Does it look botched to you? Nope!
@@missstormchaser1 "RISKS" a botched emergence.
I've always thought robber flies were cool
Where's the last part when its on the bush?
Beautiful :)
i hate it so bad
Hell fuck no!That shit looks like the bugs in Stephen kings the mist
When you play diablo inferno mode flies be like:
It's cute and 1% disgusting for me i don't know what to say, i like moths It's name will be LÄMP, the HALLÖWNEST queen
Crickets are common preys to scorpions, both in the wild and in captivity
Despite having a shorter tail, the female of the scorpion Urodacus elongatus is larger and heavier than the male
Beautiful
was not expecting it to shoot a jet of liquid shit out of its ass after escaping its pupa
Oh gosh the beginning looks too much like what I actually do when there is a bug trapped somewhere. "Here buddy, pull my finger I said PULL MY FINGER!"
These things are incredibly fast and precise, the ultimate aerial assassins who snatch prey midair and inject a deadly venom. I trust anyone who says their bite hurts like hell.
ooh so they bite? D: ..
