    Just ran across your review, and have the same unit. Any chance you would know/remember the brand of the bucket? I've been looking for a bolt-on cutting blade to put on our bucket and have not been able to find anyone that makes a blade with the same hole pattern/spacing.

    Sir, you are an inspiration ! You have made a miraculous update to your boat. My 1985 Seafarer 226 is still original with the transom cutout because I'm not much of a project guy. But I love how your modification worked out. In particular, it adds over a foot of length to the cockpit with easier access to the rear swim platform/engine mount. That could be a really nice location for a bait prep/filet table that could double as a kitchenet for overnighting. We usually put the porta potty back there when overnighting in the cabin. I have considered raising the windshield too but found it was simpler to just add large clear plastic swing down "sun visors". These are hinged to the hard top instrument cabinet to serve as wind and spray shield when needed. Just keep them well coated in RainX. We can raise or lower the seat to get optimum visibility. This preserves the lines of the boat which are still great looking and continued on Grady Whites newest models.

    • @ModernCountryLiving
      @ModernCountryLiving 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for commenting! It was a labor of love and a great project. Not sure if you saw all the steps, but it was intense. :) I enjoyed using the boat but I did sell it last year. Our family's interests changed and I saw declining use. It was hard to see the boat sit. I found a couple who were downsizing from a 36' boat and then fell in love with the Grady. I have no regrets. Resurrected a classic and while maintaining some classic features, I also made it into something with excellent performance.

    Thanks for the review, I have the HS81R very similar to yours. I advise you to not forget greasing the "gear box" underneath, there is a special screw dedicated to that where you can just screw the grease tube from Stihl. Personnaly I just remove the full aluminum cap and grease everything properly every 2 years depending on use. I have it for more than 20 years and runs perfect...but maintenance is always the key in mechanics.

    Thanks for your video. This was exactly what I was looking for. There are a dozen other videos showing it cutting. I wanted more detail on setup and function. Showing where you had cut was more informative for my needs. I have a lot of edges and trails I just need to take branches down from (small branches, mostly pine). Not enough to justify a vertical brush hog style. This was a great video. Best I have run across. You can also purchase a PTO driven implement to check for bird nests as well ;) I think it is made by Treehugger International. Seriously though, appreciate this video.

    Nice tractor! I am really wanting to find a way to justify going to the T5. I feel like the electronic rear ends offer a lot of flexibility (at the expense of more electronics for many), but the price vs the Powerstar is tough to swallow. I also strongly dislike diverter 3rd functions, but personal preference there (same issue with the Powerstar too). Seems like there are some live 3rd kits out there. I'm looking for a capable hay tractor that I can use for a long time though.

    Beautiful Tractor! I want to get a grapple like that for my T4 105.

      Jenkins Iron and Steel. Extremely well built and priced right.

    I've had my Powerstar 75 since December. Didnt get to use it much till the end of March. I already have 35 hours on it. I love it , has done everything I've asked of it. I do wish I'd have gone to the T5 for a better transmission. (Dynamic Command) I just got a new 12' John Deer disk for it. The different transmission would make changing gears while pulling in deep ground much easier. Over all I love it

      Yes. T5 allows for multiple transmission choices. I opted for Dual because it offers an upgrade vs T4 but isn't as complicated (or expensive) as the other options. Glad you're having good results! Thanks for watching!
