Thank you! I'd really recommend the newer models - the 232-ATSC +1 or 4 if you are going to stream as they have a menu option to turn off HDCP. For just playing they all work great!

That's awesome! What are the parameters for your collection? There are still Xbox One games coming out through 2025, I'll be close to 1200+ games at the end of this month with a good chunk of games left to get!

That's great. Every collector should set the conditions for completion. My own is every physical, officially licensed, unique disc that will play on the x-box one without modification. For me that is a moving target which is great to have all that many more games supported! Not so great from a completion standpoint! Just because Microsoft isn't giving it full support, doesn't mean there isn't new content. Another great example: Metal Slug Tactics is coming out as a physical disc with Xbox One support.

I agree that the Intellivision did use higher quality caps. For most systems to be this good after 40 years speaks to those quality components! It is just a matter of time though. I've personally have brought back a number of dead consoles with cap replacements. The Voltage Regulators and the Q1/Q2 (2N3906) transistors get very hot and fail over time too on Inty I/III/Sears. You can absolutely live by "If it isn't broke don't fix it" but a lot of folks buying cap kit installs are just wanting piece of mind for their beloved consoles.

Far from! I don't really collect consoles and controllers - though I do someone have nearly all the special edition Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles I'd like to! The games - games are still coming out that support Xbox One so it is an exciting but frustrating ordeal. I'd say I'm still 200 some games out from complete.

I have two Atlantic Media XL media shelves I picked up from Amazon. They have been solid for me.

Folks, search for OGHugo Retro Mod Shop to get the best currently available Composite Mod which come included with no-cute plastic and RF plugs, a great deal.

I rather like the "off" more green palette just because it is what I remember. I recently worked with a Yannic RGB mod which has a different palette and was like "Why is this brown?!" only to find it was more in the designed palette rather than the delivered/perceived palette.

That would be cool! To my knowledge it wouldn't yet be practical. The extra RAM can only be used in Color Stack mode, which most don't use, and a number of homebrews have been using the extra ram control bits to store extra data. I know folks have went round and round about it on AtariAge! Chalk one up though to the benefits of the Inty II.

Absolutely, a great suggestion. I'll get this all my pending games on the shelf (a fun effort considering I'm running out of room) and do a video of the full collection.

That is awesome! Do you have a list or game count? What is the criteria for "Complete" for you? For me it is every unique physical release that can be played on an X-Box One, which has been a challenge as there are new physical releases for Xbox One / Series X or just Xbox One every month still. I'm about to 1080 titles.

Hi WIll, great idea. I'll see about going back and doing some post edits. Unless it is a brand new Limitted Run, my goal is to try to get each game for $10.00 or less shipped, some things I'll hit $20. I live for the sales, for example a lot of the items this month where from Gamestop buy 2 get1 free sale, so I could splurge for $15.00 games and get the for effective $10. Other times I just bite the bullet and just grab off ebay where shipping pushes me a bit higher.

Thank you for your support my friend! Those are great games! Remnant 2, Gangs of Sherwood, and Darktide I was bummed for this collection are only Series X, but AC Mirage is definitely on my buy list when it comes down in price (I try to collect as economically as possible unless rarity requires a full price purchase). You'll have to share of the 4 you added which you enjoyed the most. I thought Sherwood looked interesting and different, plus 4 player co-op!

I specifically decided to collect for Xbox One as I felt it would be the last Microsoft System where Physical had any sort of major presence. I wanted to be part of helping document to what extent it was and preserve and collect anything I could. Graphically it is an amazing system and I really enjoy the communication features when I do play offline. In terms of Console playing experience, the 360 and OG are still my favorites, but the One really is on the crux of history when it comes to how games are delivered and will be preserved. It is also worth noting that as of now, there hasn't been any large scale public method of piracy for the Xbox One compared to the PS4 and Switch too, making preservation and documentation all the more important.

I do. The 360 is probably my favorite console for the variety of games. The OG Xbox has some of the best ports, and the scene bringing it back to be more relevant is more active than ever. I'm sure you'll see content on both in the future!

I couldn't agree more, I've been excited by the number of JRPG titles have been physically published late in the Xbox One's lifetime! I'm certainly going to get them all!

A huge part of this this collection is to do some digital archeology and determine not only what was released and in what form, to capture covers, media, inserts, but also to see how viable the Xbox One collection is to actually play in the future when the servers are all down, or completely offline.

That is one of the reasons I chose Xbox One and am going down this journey. My thought is it is the last console that will have the majority of a game on disc and even though there are updates, would be somewhat playable completely offline. Part of the effort I'll be going through in collecting so many physical games is to test each one to see if they are playable completely offline. That is Awesome! Now is really prime time to collect for X-Box One. Trade ins are happening for newer systems, it's post holiday time. I sourced a lot of my games from Gamestop sales. In my area I don't have a lot of options so often I'll buy online - at the risk of not getting the cover. These days I'll return those without covers unless it was a really really good deal.
