360 Cameras + Drones for Construction - Preconstruction (New Build)
In this video, I am just showing the in the field process of using a drone, 360 camera and DroneDeploy for documenting a project. This is typically information that either ends up in iPhone camera rolls with no context location or even worse, not documented at all.

360 Cameras For Construction - Preconstruction (Renovation)
มุมมอง 1682 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I am looking to document the inside of a project which is about to have a project team mobilize on. It has been gutted and supported - ready for the construction team to install and renovate the interior. At this stage, having a comprehensive 360 capture of the interior isn't only going to used for verification of early design but providing a record of the site before the new ren...

Here's a quick example of what it's like to document a 10k square foot project with a 360 camera and some software. Insta 360 has released their latest Insta X4 camera kit (Camera, Selfie Stick and SD Card) which can be purchased through this affiliate link: amzn.to/47LYpFL The Bushman Halo Light can be found here: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1593689-REG/bushman_panoramic_hl_halo_360_light.html
Using Photogrammetry to Create Point Clouds for Revit

Here is a tutorial for using Google Earth Pro to create Point Clouds that can be brought into Revit. Next tutorial I will share workflows for turning those Point Clouds into Meshes.

Sorry for the late response, wasn't expecting a comment since the channel is new! DroneDeploy Ground, previously known as Structionsite but got acquired

I have tried this a few time and my .pts file keep hanging up at about 75% and never looks like it wants to load in to ReCap Pro. what am I missing? I have done everything you did in the video above from creating my photos from Google Earth Pro and importing that in the ReCap Photo to get my first whole "point cloud image". But moving that into ReCap Pro to be able to move in to Revit is not working for me. You know anything I am doing wrong?

Could be computer limitations. This video is so old now, there are a ton of other photogrammetry softwares on the market now. Check out "Reality Capture" or 3DF Zephyr

A little late to respond..sorry. Haven't looked at this account in years. The main focus on this is to just have a basic idea of what the building mass looks like. If you are working on anything in preconstruction and just want some surrounding buildings, this will work. If you're looking to use it for a renovation of the building of focus, I'd highly discourage that and hire a surveyor.
