We’re an all round co-educational school, where pupils are actively encouraged to develop their own individual skills and talents. Every child has something special inside them; it’s our job to find out what that is.
Rugbeian Community Giving Day 2024
On 13-14 May 2024 we are holding our second ever Rugby School and Bilton Grange Giving Day.
Over the course of 36 hours, we invite Rugbeians and Biltonians, along with parents, grandparents, staff, pupils, and friends from the UK and around the world to come together and celebrate the profound impact of our education on shaping our lives and the communities where we live and work.
There are numerous ways to get involved - from taking part in events and challenges, sharing our posts on social media to making a gift to the Arnold Foundation and Earle Fund.
We're all in! And we hope that you will be inspired to join us.

That this version draws out the melody, in comparison to the version at the end of tinker Taylor soldier spy, for me makes it self conscious.

Beautifully sung and lovely voice. Now it's a duet - surprise and very beautiful also. Reflects well on the school that they choose such a famous psalm and performed with serious meaning and beauty.
This is effortless singing perfection that after 40 years of lessons and performance is still elusive for me. The trumpet is not bad either. Brava.

Am I the only one to revisit this masterpiece sung by this young woman? We should all be in the Lord's Book......but alas....evil overwhelms many and they seek not the Christ.

This is not the performance from the BBC competition, which was filmed from the other side and there seems to be much more echo, as if the hall is empty of its audience. We also miss the camera being further away so the girl's animation and hand gestures are not evident this time. I was going to use it in church on Christmas Day, but I'm not sure now as there are others I prefer to this. John Logan
Sorry you feel that way. This is our recording in our memorial chapel and not the BBC performance, hopefully you can still find that on Iplayer and enjoy it again :)

What is the meaning of this song?
Before the Birth of Jesus, there was an old priest who had been granted a premonition that he would not die until he had seen the "Messiah" promised to the Jewish people by the Prophets of Israel, (also called by the Greek word "the Christ" from which we get "Christian"). When the Child was born. the parents brought him to the Temple of the eighth day, for presentation and for ritual circumcision. The old man, whose name was Simeon, spoke these words "Lord, now let your servant depart in peace, because my eyes have seen the one who is to be a Saviour, a light to guide the ungodly, and the glory of your people, Israel". These words are traditionally recited or sung in Christian churches in the evening. There are many different tunes, ranging from simple easy chants to beautiful performances like this one.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Has it really been three years? I hope Harry and Meghan enjoyed it as much as I did. Perhaps they sent you a thank you card? I also hope Ischia is doing well and continuing with her singing career.
