Myriad Worlds - Scorch and Lydia Boss Fight
I managed to scrounge up enough motivation to work on Myriad Worlds some more. Scorch and Lydia are bosses that our hero previously fought separately, but now has to fight both of them at once. They are part of an evil trio working for an as of yet unnamed big bad, with Medraut (who is not here) being a ice elemental bruiser dark knight of sorts, Scorch being a Pyromancer/Wizard with a personality similar to Xigbar and Lydia being a cutthroat lighting Thief/Assassin of sorts. I'm generally surprised that my original characters for this quest came out as well as they did.

Myriad Worlds - Secret Dungeon #2 (The Gel Flow)

This is the second secret dungeon in my current ZeldaClassic quest/project Myriad Worlds and this secret dungeon is inside the first relic dungeon. The Gel Flow is directly inspired by B.P.R.D's "The Mucus Flow", MAP 24 of Community Chest 2 (a Doom 2 Megawad). This newest level of mine is inspired by Lorenzen Soil from Earthworm Jim 2, with a hint of Bloodsauce Dungeon from Pizza Tower and I am aware of the following pair of oddities 1. I'm not always good at playing my own levels and this is certainty one of those times. I honestly didn't feel like bashing my head against the wall over a hundred times to get a perfect run of this level for recording purposes. This level took me two months to finish. I finished the bonus rooms (which were the last things I had to do) a whole day before New Years.

On this level it took me two days to think of the name and the gimmick for it. I will admit that some parts might be slightly questionable but I think it's one of my better recent works.

This level was inspired by the ancient Pueloan ruins of Mesa Verde national park and I was aiming for a "level in motion" as it were. I will admit that I didn't do so hot replaying this level.

Man, this is one of the most hype smbx projects ive seen to date, alongside Super Mario and the Rainbow Stars and Luigis lost memories. Your doing a great job so far and I hope you find the help needed to finish it. On a side note, i was wondering if I could use your map system for my episode. I cant find it anywhere aside from in the episodes files.

This song is a mixture of 'Power of Anger' from Salamander and 'We Followed the Sun' from Nemesis 3: The Eve of Destruction. Both games are part of Konami's Gradius series where this fictional aircraft originated from.

I've been poking around in the files of Super Mario Zeal, and there are some revolutionary lua's in there, like map.lua. I tried making a map with it, but it only seems to work with the specific design of your map...
smbx2 dev team is probably going to rewrite the map system themselves anyways as the current system is very limiting
I've played Super Mario Zeal up to world 2, and from what I've seen, its great! The level design is well thought out, and the world map is also great. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that its doesn't completely stick to one style, and the fact that its not two player, even though there are 2 player flags in the editor.
even in its unfinished state it’s probably one of the more polished smbx2 based episodes I’ve played. I do agree that the level design and visuals can be really inconsistent though. this is more apparent in world 2 where there’s a lot of workshopped custom graphics to try to make DKC fit the SMW style

Hey, nice project man I've been away from SMBX for so many years, I'm amazed at what can be created now I signed up to follow the development and wait for the full game Due to the name, I expected to see a reference to Zeal de Chronno haha

@@FireSeraphim He's brazilian, like me. I only answered in our language (portuguese), he would understand me anyway. Basically i said your EP is going to be wonderful, and i play SMBX since i was 12, i think. I just had to take a break for study, but i still love playin'!

Great looking level with a sick theming! Would reccomend something tho: At 1:37, you might wanna put some indicator showing that you can fall down that pit. Since you generally can't, players would probably try to jump through (at least, I'd assume through) the bridge tiles. But that jump looks impossible, so they'd probably go all, "What the heck? Why'd I get softlocked?" and just be annoyed.
