All parts used came from 1 Acorn stairlift, the only addition was a hose and the BVM (Bag Valve Mask). If necessity is the Mother of invention, then imagination is the Father!!

This 4m long handrail can be lifted from it's normal 1m height to allow taller pallets on to the dock

Hi Luca, it's just a kit for the conversion to vertical, what you use it for is entirely up to you and your own responsibility.
Hi please someone give me motor of stairs but i dont know how to connect it 24v dc the motor make noise but do not turn ?
I see your eBay listing says it will lift 50kgs. Will it lift more, or is that the absolute max? id be using it to lift about 90kgs. It would only travel 1 yard max vertically.
Hi Marsden, thank's for the heads up, it is a mistake in the listing and will be corrected today. 100kg 4 times per hour over a 4m travel is our bench mark and works with no issue. The charge rate is fixed but the weight, frequency of travel and length of travel determines the amount of battery drain.
This looks to be what I've been looking for. I'd like to install in a small closet to be able to reach my attic easily. I'm unable to see ebay for the UK. Do you have any other recommendations? Thanks you.

@@skunkworksuk8830 Does the conversion kit work only for the Acorn 130 and I believe I saw where it only works for a certain side. possibly left side.
@@skunkworksuk8830 Thank you for the link. one other quick question. After using the conversion kit does it use the same original track and do you think it could easily lift around 170 lbs a few times a week?
The kit is designed to convert either left or righthand lifts but it is specifically designed for the Acorn Stairlift, because of its robust design and reliability it was the obvious candidate to use for my idea.
Yes it uses the same track, charging system and also remote controls. This does not certify its capabilities but I tested it at 220lbs and ran it 6 times per hour for 8 continuous hours without issue, but how you load and use it is your decision.
I've been thinking about converting either a chair lift or garage opener into a vertical lift system to put into a small closet to gain access to my floured attic space. Any recommendations given your experience? thanks in advance.

Easy access into my attic would be wonderful. I'm a pretty handy diy kind of guy once I've gotten my hands on enough info and purchased the correct items. many thanks for your reply.

Could do a garage door opener or an automatic gate, I want to build a motorcycle hoist. And I have also thought of turning 2 of them into a wheelchair lift that folds away when not in use

Does the weight restriction change when you go verticle?
I found it lifted 100kg without issue, but I suppose it all depends how frequently you want to used it?
