While I usually agree about Epiphones being trash, I will say this one is pleasantly surprising. Maybe worth another look. Mine just came in yesterday, I did a basic set up and absolutely love it. These sent the Epiphones from the 90’s anymore. ❤

Ik deze gitaar persoonlijk wel beter dan de gemiddelde Epiphone lp. Qua vergelijking van kan ik daar niks over zeggen. Denk dat het een kwestie is van zelf proberen en ervaren. Deze pickup klinkt per gitaar weer anders, elk stuk hout is anders

All sounds are great. Straight into the interface using cab 11 of the Hook and didn't change the sound in logic

For that song I used the Hook Wizard amp hookamps.com . Its an all tube amp with build in IR loader and comes with there own iIR's. The Friedman stuff is also great, really like them. But the Wizard is a tube amp and the IR's come after the power amp instead of the pre amp

This is recorded with the direct out. A mic out cab sounds better, but at home this works a lot easier and it sound good enough. The Friedman IR-X and IR-D sound a lto better for direct recording btw

thanks. Ik heb alleen de Wizard 1 verkocht om de 2 te kopen. Hij heeft meer punch, gaat qua sound meer richting te Captain. Beide goede amps, v1 klinkt meer traditioneel, v2 heeft echt de typische Hook sound. En aangezien ik persoonlijk Leendert een van de beste sounds vind hebben die ik ooit live heb gehoord was ik meteen fan van de versterker

@@woody6946 Thanks for this response! I have a Wizard V1 and I am considering the same question. Your solo on "Alone" has a tone that sounds a bit different than the Wizard V1 - in a good way. Maybe it has a bit more compression? Is the difference between the amps more noticeable with lead tones?

@@trixlee5102 No all the sounds are different. Its sounds more like a point to point amp tone. There is less compression than the v1 I think

@@woody6946 Thanks again, and nice playing, btw! I read that they changed the power amp voltage for "better volume handling." That probably affects things on all settings. I may have to get one and compare!

@@woody6946 PS. Regarding the "better volume handling" comment on the Hook website - do you think that it sounds better at lower volume or does it handle louder volume better? I am a bit confused by Hook's statement. Thanks again!

Beide super goed, maar de Wizard 2 klinkt meer als een point to point amp met een dikke punch tone

I use this one and the Copper live. I also have some boutique amps. But since i own the v4 I used it the most for gig. Sound better than most tube amps

Ow and it works great with pedals, just like a Fender amp would

probably a bit different because the sound of the guitar is different

I don't know the scale length haha (never really look at specs). But this feels like playing the top line of Gibson (Murphy Lab ect.)
