      hello, Paul. thanks for your comment. I suppose I included the CIA bit as a re-enforcement of Wayne's ability to convince people of some really unbelievable lies. I did put a disclaimer on that section at the end. It was not intended as fact, rather one of Wayne's fabrications. As with everything Wayne seems to say, he has access to just enough "facts" to make one consider and research the narrative he presents. He is a very complicated and dynamic individual. I think at this point, 20 years since my film was made, we can all agree that he is guilty.

    Wayne WIlliams may not have killed all of the children, but he killed enough of them that he's not innocent. The KKK may have killed Lubie Geter, but I don't buy the Klan story for most/all of them. They would not have moved seamlessly in the black community, would not have been able to get a bunch of black kids to willingly get into their cars with them, and would have stuck out like sore thumbs. Wayne set himself up as a fake "talent scout" and "boy band" manager getting boys to go with him believing they were going to get some sort of career out of it. The pedophile angle is more interesting, but seems like Wayne was at least a stringer for them, which also makes him guilty even if he didn't kill them himself.

      the 68 represents the total number of children murdered in Atlanta during the time frame. of those 68, 29 were apparently associated with Wayne Williams. Darren Glass has never been found, and therefore isn't officially on the list of those attributed to Wayne.

    We will never know the entire story. To begin with, the "official" list is total BS: You've got about 3 dozen deaths (mostly murders but possibly a couple of accidents) with only about 2 handfuls actually connected with conflicting stories about each disappearance & case..No way Wayne is responsible for all of them.

    I’m on that bridge RIGHT NOW, and I would love to know what liquor store he stopped to. Coming from Smyrna towards Fulton county, the Busy Bee is in the left. And I realize the area has changed in 40+ years but unless he went all the way down to Veterans Memorial/Bankhead, I don’t see any such building. Also, his story changes during every interview. On Atlanta Monster, he claimed he went to the club the same night and then again ON THE SAME DOCUMENTARY, he claimed he went the folllowing night-on the 22nd. Clearly a compulsive liar…and after so long of an incarceration,you’d think he would have come up with an official story to stick to! Oh, to add to my comment, he MAY be telling the truth about what phone number he wrote vs what the authorities stated. Before cell phones were prominent and when everyone had house phones, Smyrna numbers WERE started with 434, 435, 436, etc…

    They shouldn't have allowed their children to walk the streets alone but they did,and even after they realized children we're being murdered, they still allowed it,like the woman who told her little boy to go to the store and get her some cigarettes,that was for her to do anyway, not him,or the two little boys walking after dark going home or wherever they were going and got murdered even after they called the police because it was too late,and then the little boy who ends up at the back of the laundry mat and gets murdered,raped first,I think.,etc.....,those kids had way too much freedom to go wherever they wanted to go and not to mention being ordered to run errands, they were also out trying to make a little money here and there and I wonder if the parents told them to go out and do that too,they were poor families so it's something to think about and most boys are sent or allowed to go out and make some money on the streets.

    • @gouldty
      @gouldty ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree to a certain point. I was highly upset when I heard about the woman who sent her son to the store to get cigarettes. My mom did that to me as well. That could have been me that was killed. To a higher degree point, I feel extreme sorrow for parents who were working 2 and 3 jobs to take care of their kids. We're talking about 12 to 15 year old, NOT BOYS, but developing young men who knew right from wrong, and to definitely NOT get into a car with any strangers, even if they knew the other person with the driver.

    • @brookebrown1255
      @brookebrown1255 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think it's okay that they were unsupervised and allowed to go on errands for adults. However, it was a rarity for crimes of this nature at this time. It was simply unheard of. It wasn't ok for them to be unsupervised, but it doesn't justify what happen to those kids. WW either did some or all of those murders. He even looks creepy and does not appear to be empathetic on any level.
