GUJARATI TRIBAL FOLK MUSICAL INSTRUMENT - TAARAPU
This instrument is mainly played by Kunabi tribe in Gujarat. The instrument's lower part is made by "Taad" leaf attached to buffalo horn with the help of cloth with local gum to joined it by bee wax. The center part of the instrument joined by two bamboo pipe reeds through wax to horn and Gourd called " Lambi Dudhi". The first bamboo flute pipe is having 5 holes and second one is having 3 holes in it, which is known as "Kana". The blown part of the instrument, at the center part of gourd is called "Toti". In this video clip Akad Dhakad is playing the Taarpu instrument.

In form of flute made by bamboo wood, mainly played in the fair in group by Rathwa people in month of Sawan. Also played solo or accompanied with the Dhol instrument. The flute or Biho is having eight holes , in which upper hole is called "Kawadi". The blowing part of Bihu or its tongue is called "Kugati" made by bamboo. The instrument "SAMEL" is made of Jack-Fruit tree and tied a skin on one mouth. In playing earlier the player used the "Vaint" sticks but now they used plastic .
