Out of all the blocks in this quilt: - Which one is your favorite? - Which one gave you the most trouble? - Which one would you not ever willingly do again?

Love your story! I am just about to start my DJ journey. I have had my book since it came out. I didn’t sign up for the BOM at Stitching Heaven until 2018. I’m now 75. I hope I can get my DJ done before I die. I sure wish I had a couple buddies to stitch with.

The quilt is displayed sometimes in May where there is a local quilt festival. I saw it and it was displayed in an upstairs room with a light shining on it. I was horrified that it was not under more security! Ugh. The museum also has a nice collection of Grandma Moses paintings.

Wait, no white balance presets? I'm looking for a simple sunlight preset. (And all the other... tungsten, etc.)

So glad you finished your quilt. I am up to hand sewing the binding. I chose scallops too. This quilt got started, then put away as I didn’t have the knowledge to make some of the blocks. Ten years later I pulled it out again and completed it in 2020. My husband got sick and passed away and although my DJ was pinned on the long arm I didn’t have the mojo to quilt it. Then I found that I had cancer and that has been an ongoing battle. I got secondary bone cancer in my left arm which impacted on my ability to do some things. My friend took my DJ and quilted it for me so now it’s up to me to get the binding finished and put a hanging sleeve on it. Another dear friend cut the bias binding and sewed it together for me. Thank you dear friends.

Thank you. I can no longer display the different elements on my camera screen: histogram, sound level... I went to MENU and everything is OK, the display is set up but it does not appear. thank you for your comeback

It is certifiably fun and challenging quilt to make. Got to hear Brenda' lecture and purchased her book in 2003 and glad I did. The quilt is just beautiful at so many levels.

I was lucky enough to hear Brenda do a lecture at our quilt group. I loved the story that Brenda went to Jan'es grave and found that the headstone was crumbling and she was able to collect enough money from "quilters" to purchase a new headstone for Jane Stickle. Wonderful story.

if you don't know where the black and white effect is, then maybe you shouldn't be giving instruction on the effect...

What a beautiful quilt! I saw a Dear Jane at a quilt show a couple years ago. I had never seen one before. It was amazing to see up close. The quilter had her planning binder there too.

Great idea with this tutorials. Is a pretty old camera and there are very few tutorials online.. I just bought one hcx-1000 to start learning about videography.

I bought the Dear Jane book 2yrs ago thinking I'd give it a try. I said a emphatic NO when I saw all the blocks were a mere 6"! So many tiny pieces! I admire your fortitude and dedication to making such an amazing replica. Did you piece it by hand? It is truly the most awesome quilt I've ever seen. Would love to see the original. Thanks for sharing! 💖

Thank you for your explainations...Just got a HC X1500... completely lost in the manual settings..not intuitive...Could you make a tuto explaining how to handel with manual settings ? didn t find a way to control my WB for example and to up/down my kelvins ?? 🤣 the manual is bad and didn't find nothing on internet pages...Thank you so much ! bests regards / JF

Thankyou Lynn ,I have just aquired a Panasonic HC X1 S/H which is very similar,although I do know some things about video cameras and how to set them up these vids on the HC X1000 and the settings are very useful ,please do a few outdoor vids with the camera explaining how the different settings work out of doors.Thanks once again

Looks like a HC-X1 Cam....if so, when you're recording you can access the menu by pressing in on the turn/select wheel.

Absolutely your choice I agree, but why have this camera if you're not going to use the 4K quality capabilities, not to mention some post editing options?
