I am building a house in Slovenia, alpine climate, +30 in the summer and - 20 winters, I have 6cm Steico wood panels outside, there will be a tongue and groove vented wood facade, 30cm Steico wood fibre insulation between the wall studs and 4cm Steico wood panels inside, why do I need a membrane and any side of the wall when the wood panels both sides of the studs are air tight, and vapour can pass through both direction and could only turn into condensation when it hits the back of the wood facade? Do you still need to tape along the horizontal junction between Extasana and Mento? What about along the rafter - could air still move between rafter and Mento?

Do you guys have retrofit solutions for 1960's brick veneer?
