What you talking about I got a iPhone last year in November this happened straight away slow loading online same on everything you buy new internet 🛜 is the problem not our computer or iPhone
Okay, I have 16' Macbook Pro M1 Max 64gb Ram 1tb ssd, and i keep getting spinning wheel regularly when working in Photoshop. I do have 1 app that launches when turning Mack back on, which is 'Keep Drive Spinning' app. I have 64gig of Ram for crying out loud. I have devised 80% of machines RAM for photoshop operation alone. I dont understand what is happening here?
what if you changed your password and you want to see the old password
Talk too dam much didn’t help with nothing shut up!!!
This video is old by the time I saw it but I have an IPAD air II which recently updated it's IOS. It was probably a week ago and now it has the spinning wheel of death and won't boot up. I hooked it up to my pc to troubleshoot. I have the charging cable connected obviously and the pad is displaying "support.apple.com/ipad/restore. I tried to visit the link and it cannot be reached. I have tried to check device via PC and it appears that the operating system is not even showing. Driver details as follows: Driver provider : Unknown; Driver Date: Not Available; Driver Version: Not available; Driver Signer: Not digitally signed. I tried to perform a driver update and it failed. WTF is going on ? Did the last IOS update from Apple brick my IPAD ???
Thanks for the tips Mr.Sydney. Have a great day.
We need more of these videos! I get the spinning wheel sometimes when I’m editing videos… and I pray I haven’t lost my edits 😱 thank you.
what about in there with secure note and key , certificate how to used
Wonderful thanks
A TIME WASTER VIDEO 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿
CAUTIONARY TALE: David, if I hadn't stumbled on your video . . . and because of your advice, glanced at my backup peripheral, saw that it wasn't flashing, and realized it was unplugged--that it probably had been for months--I might have lost the book that I'm writing. (Yes, now it's plugged in, and, yes, I'll have a new solid-state drive put in.)
Quick question I have mac desktop with black back My mac has Over 100g free space and I've only use 30g worth but it keeps freezing after being on for 5min
I have brand new hard drive too and have spin wheel also
Bruh I’m using a 2020 M1 Mac and the beach ball is present and it’s on going only a couple days after I got it
Same thing with me and it’s pissing me off 🤦🏽♀️
Rename video to "How to retrieve a password from Apple' s Keychain"
Hello there! i was at the end of my rope a few weeks ago and watched your video thinking you could offer a quick fix (because my project was due the next day) when you mentioned "replace the hard drive" I was like "NOOOoooo! I need help NOW!" I have a late 2013 iMac..so after a couple days of depression i purchased a new ssd hard drive and me and my 16 yr old son (well....mostly my son) replaced the hard drive. And you were absolutely right- it runs INCREDIBLY well. So thank you for your advice!! It might not have helped in the short run but in the long run it was great advice! All the best!
Chris Pratt???
I see below that there are folks with brand new computers that are having the same problem. So the explanation that the hard drive has failed seems hard to believe. Also, about three years ago, I had the original HD in my 2011 iMac replaced with a 3TB SSD plus a second SSD that replaced the DV player and now serves as a startup drive. Something could be broken, maybe but the trouble is something else I think. Another video on the SBBOD problem in FCPX had me move a preferences file into the trash. That didn't work and I'm sorry I did that. It looks like I am in for the long haul. Two things that I noticed, the external drive I am using to store my current project on is at 89% filled, mostly by something described as "Other". That is new. So I now have to find out what "other" is. Also the most recent FCPX upgrade is not available for my machine because of my machine's age...that happened only two days ago, about the time that I started having troubles. Coincidence??? perhaps. Crap! I think it is going to turn out to be the particular project that I am working on...It is a mess in storage. Other projects don't seem to have the beach ball problem.
when I click on show password, it shows an alpha numeric number. Not exactly the password that i have.
i have the newest macbook rn but when i try edit on i movie the stupid spinning beachball always comes. i got this laptop 4 months ago
I literally just spent $2700 at Best Buy on a 16 inch Final Cut Pro for better video editing. I had the MacBook Air and I found that it wasn’t great for Final Cut Pro because of the lack of storage. Just one day into using it final cut is already buffering. What should I do? Should I return the device?
My hard drive is nearly 2 months old and I am getting the spinning beachball only on the application I use to edit my videos called "iMovie".
sammeee its so annoying ive been working on a video for so long and out of nowhere the beach ball comes. literally have been stressing out so much. Did you find a solution?
@Vickyz Life nope its maybe because you left it on for too long or its probably because of the stupid intel processor speeds
MightyJKF I figured it out , basically ur storage has to be half way full for i movie to work properly
@@VickyzLife I figured it out because the videos were only supporting 720p 60fps but it's now 720p which is good quality. :)
Macs are terrible
This spinning bullshit had been there since day one and now it’s worse tried everything
I have a new Mac book air and sometimes I get the beach ball, with an ssd, maybe for a split second is that normal sometimes?
I just bought a 1tb solid state drive in September. How can it be failing now?
It isn't. If you have spinning wheels still then you have software issues also that are causing sluggishness.
@@sydneymacsupport4462 Thank you.. I will try what you suggested in the video
Where can I find the follow up video you mentioned?
Hello, I got a Macbook Pro 2013 about 3 years ago now. And since the late summer my laptop only seems to be freezing with the spinning wheel when I use the internet servers like Opera, or Safari. OR if I watch a film or TV show on my hard drive it freezes up and I have to force shutdown to regain control. Why is it doing this??
Sorry, this video was a complete waist of time for me because you didn't tell us how to get rid of the spinning wheel. Instead you directed us to purchase a new hard drive, walking back on the title of this video (... what you need to do about it ...). In your future videos please bear in mind that we are not all wealthy and willing to purchase new equipment at the drop of a hat. However, I don't hate you, you did tell us WHY we get the spinning wheel, but I already knew that much. Thank's tho, for your advice. P.S.: Cool T-Shirt.
I did tell you how to fix it, getting your hard drive replaced.
@@sydneymacsupport4462 : Can I quote you on that? Do you really think 'replace' is synonymous with 'Fix'? NOT! th-cam.com/video/8Gv0H-vPoDc/w-d-xo.html The point is NOT to replace the hard drive but to repair it so that we don't get the spinning wheel. You can't weasel out that easy! Sure: Thesaurus.com reports mend as a synonym of replace, but the hard drive was not the object. The object was the spinning wheel. :-)_
@@timothyfreeman7913 Replacing the hard drive is the repair. You can quote me on whatever you want mate. Im a Apple Certifed Technician at the highest level, pretty confident I know what I'm talking about. Sorry you didn't like my information.
@@sydneymacsupport4462 I won't argue the point (Nolo Contendere), but I will suggest that it ("the spinning wheel of death") may indicate LOR (Lack of RAM), in which case buffering is slow due to shortage of MAR (Memory Address Registers). I will install more RAM and get back to you on that. I apologize for "jumping you", I will try not to be such a "hot head" when we meet again. "When in doubt, Vietch it out." ~ Mrs. Vosh (O.P.I. circa 1980's), my Math instructor at Oregon Polytechnic Institute (I got sick, I didn't grad.) and Circuit Lab (TTL Logic ...). Did you know that many Mil. Est. around the world are exploring the use of brain waves for navigation and guidance systems? We may be 'typing' messages without a keyboard, mouse, or voice in the near future. AND, it's much simpler that one might imagine: certain electrical activity in certain locations in the brain usually indicate certain thoughts and/or emotions. Communication may become like PEEK and POKE commands on a Commodore 64 (love those Sprites), but their processors are mega faster than ours - we will need to "upgrade". I don't know the levels of Apple, but I do know NOT to use an Apple I Phone charge chord on a ROKU stick (Ouch!). Well, I've said too much, I'll have to kill both of us now (he he). But really, ... you might be right. PEACE P.S. Don't try these yokes at Hume.
@@timothyfreeman7913 the spinning wheel is due to lack of ram, you're right.
I have brand new hard drive and still spin wheel
i can tell its winter when this video was recorded. i think. because of the cockatoos
I love you. Thanks a lot.
bahahaha this is the place for you????? i got nothing outta this!!!!!
Hi, I’m using a new MacBook Pro 2018 2.2 ghz core i7 memory 16gb 2400 MHz... only recently I’m getting this spinning wheel
Waste of time no illustration.
No illustration of what?
Sydney Mac Support of what the fuck you need to do to actually solve the problem.
@@nrg6245 Thats because its not for you to do. You need a professional technician to replace your hard drive. Take it to one.
Brand new 15 inch Mac Pro got the dreaded beach ball effect on using FCPX. Hard to believe this from a new laptop
Same here. Since I did an software installation got horrible and my computer is brand new. I’m so upset right now. Apple support can’t do anything.
I just bought a 2018 new macbook pro 15 inch maxed out to 2 TB hard drive. The computer froze and I experienced the rainbow spinning wheel the first day while trying to install Veeer from veeer(dot) io which is a utility that lets you split screens. I hard to shut the computer down utilizing the physical button. The computer also froze and I again experienced the rainbow spinning wheel while trying to install another 3rd party program, a trading platform. However, I have not experienced the issue while downloading apps from the Appstore. I need help, since I am new to The Mac operating system. Should I return my laptop and try to get it replaced? Any suggestions, guidance would be greatly appreciated.
2017 Macbook 13in here. I bought it new and experienced this issue and am looking for answers
I’m looking for answers too.
same here! I have a 2018 macbook pro bought it brand new from best buy.
it worked great the first couple years. but now it’s crashing apps, freezing, rainbow ball of death, HELP
I bought MacBook just 15 days ago and today after taking the update of Macintosh then I installed it. After few minutes a I open up TH-cam then suddenly a progress bar with rainbow spinning wheel started showing and it is happening since last one hour. Does it mean my Mac's harddrive is getting slow or going to fail?
I got the spinning of wheel on Word Document if I force quit, will I loose my paper?
Yes
@@sydneymacsupport4462 Thank you. Failing HD is among the most common reasons yet people waste hours days and weeks trying every conceivable solution. Question: will Apple install a new solid state HD on a 6 year old desktop Mac? It's major surgery and intricate beyond belief. No more trap door for easy user replacement. The pricks at the Apple store near me would rather sell me a new one... $2000 for an Imac. Sorry but I expect a $2000 product to last ten years or at least be repairable. There is no way I'm anywhere near qualified to replace the HD.
this was the most accurate information I’ve had about my MacBook. I have a late 2008. I know it’s a hard drive failure but you definitely calmed me down because it’s replaceable.

I have this problem with ssd, what would it be the problem?
It’ll be software corruption. Your computer needs a ‘clean install’.
Keep it up. We need honest accurate information, as you provided. Thanks.
Thank you
I just found this video! Could you please give tell me what i need to get to transfer all of my info to a new hard drive the spinning wheel is pretty much eliminating me from doing anything even in safe mode
