So many times, we under represent ourselves. We doubt ourselves or our capabilities and end up asking for way low than we deserve. Sometimes, we just do not do much to convince the other party that we are worth more. From my experience, the secret is to position ourselves the way we want to be viewed, paid or more. #success #money #life

I don’t know but this story is very incomplete and makes it so hard to be believe. 1. Where was his wife when he took you to this his other house? 2. How come his two older children suddenly appeared in the house? 3. Your parents never called the police? What of your siblings? They also didn’t think of calling the police? 4. Did your parents have an arrangement with this man without your consent and later changed their mind? I could literally go on and on with the questions. Please if you want people to learn from your experience, be honest about the life you lived.

Frankly, I think u are the cause of your problems. Which is a major reason why no one who wants to have a good marriage should read ur book. The man was very wrong for taking u without ur parents consent & blessings, very wrong. But who says u are too young to have a baby @ 18, you are already an adult. I see young wayword girls(13, 14, 15 yrs of age) get pregnant for fellow small boys their age who are not ready for family life, the girl's parents end up training there daughter's child. Queen Esther whom we all read about in the bible in the book of Esther married at 17, & knew her limits as a wife which endeared her to her husband. U can't be offending ur husband & expect him to keep loving you. Even the Bible in Ephesians 5:22 says wife's to submit to their husbands. U had an house help, if u wake by 3am, u have an house help to aid u prepare the meal of few people & u go back to sleep, go & check on ladies that sell food, they wake that early too, I know a single mother who sells food, she wakes that early to start cooking for multitudes, after which she starts selling, she closes around 11pm. U cook for few people & u are here sympathising with urself, life is not a bed of roses. Now that u have divorced urself, do u have a better life? U slept off, & ur husband had to scale the fence, where was ur maid? He was wrong for slapping u, but u should have known the kind of husband u have & enjoyed him. U should have made plans for the maid to wake u or open for him. Esther could be killed for seeing her husband without his consent, she had to declare a fast for herself, her maid, & kinsmen before she could access her husband & she had no issue with that. You just had bad advisers who made u think ur husband was a devil, now that u have left the devil, I hope u are in heaven. U said he alienated u from friends, I think it's probably bc u don't have good friends, he feared that they were influencing u wrongly. But his efforts were not even enough to keep u homely. U still managed to get an implant without his concent, that's very bad, u were still listening to people who don't have good intentions for u. If I was him, I wouldn't have touched u, bc am not d violent type & completely against domestic violence. But I would have sued the medical practitioner who did d procedure for u, bc such procedure should have been carried out with d concent of both parents. Even though he tried to shield u from bad friends(bad influences) , u still managed to keep bad advisers. If u humbled urself, that man would never have cheated on you. He would literally have laid down his life for u. But u can't be his opposition in his house & expect that. If u were submissive, u would have had time to take enough sleep during the day & he won't worry u. U could go back to bed after cooking & take a nap for one hour, if u prepared everything u need to cook the meal the night before, besides u have a maid to give u a hand too. Ur husband does not trust u, bc he must have seen rebellious tendencies in u. Otherwise, u could have told him that u would love to further ur education, & he would have sponsored & supported you with all he has. I know a lady who did her 1st degree, masters & PhD in her husband's house, sponsored by her husband. Submission is the only secrete to a good marriage. No man would be happy to spend his hard earned resources on a wife who would counter him & listen to outsiders against him, even u ladies, when u spend on a female friend & she takes sides against u instead of being loyal to u, u become enemies quickly, but u do it to ur husband & expect a different result, he too may want to look for another lady who will be loyal to him.

Some of the stories coming from Kenya make me cringe. Where were thus lady's parents when somebody would kidnap their daughter and they are silent. Is it because they were poor? Does poverty make a person blind and stupid? But the lady spoke good English meaning that she knew there was police somewhere. Also there were no human and women right organization.

Practically kidnapped and turned into a slave. Being a child at 18 , it did not occur to her that she could say no and resist her kidnapper. Unfortunately some African upbringing of their girls esp., grooms them to go into a marriages of abuse. The parents were poor and with the mentality that the kidnapper had already impregnated her, she was seen as "damaged goods" and they gave up on getting her back. I cant imagine this kind of trauma. So glad that she stood up for herself eventually. I wish her healing and happiness. And i hope that kidnapper gets his karma.

I assume she got pregnant and also inherited 2 kids who were not hers biologically. Her fear of going home sounds like she was groomed by the man and to some extent made a choice to be with him. It is the adult man’s fault but she probably feels guilty about playing a role in the situation. This is common for young people who are groomed to be willing to participate in their own exploitation. The gaps in her story explain that subconscious feeling of guilt. The true violator is the man but sometimes victims do play a role in creating a situation where they are emotionally coerced.
