I put this on my classic car. It is the best device for trapping dirt, sludge, and water.. Honestly I can't run my car cos of crap petrol. It's the water that's the problem. The water trap with drain tap is the beauty of this device.

So the green led will only turn on when it's receiving power from say a generator? If the green led is ON witout a cable inserted into it does that mean the box is installed the wrong way?

I just bought 2 months ago and the igniter is too big. It would not fit through the hole as the factory igniter does and after I got it through with some slight modification to the headlight assembly itself, the ballast stopped working a month later

Why would I need to replace it? What symptoms should I experience?

I dont want to write a negative comment but next time please explain the wiring. Where positive goes, where negative goes. Are you just interrupting the positive wires and where the negatives go, for anyone wondering that is what he’s saying. Interrupt the positive wires but I don’t want to tell you where to ground because I have no idea what you are running. With two post many people who do not understand switches could easily think red then black. PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS AND THINK THAT IS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT BY INTERRUPTING. Battery wont like that set up.

Can't find a video on a 2001 1500hd resistor. Has the aluminum cone looking things instead of green microchip looking thing and has a square plug in one corner and a purple wire. Is there a new one people are using and I'm just not seeing it? Every part store says it's $151 and none in stock but random internet sites like parts geek and walmart apparently has them with no reviews no buys nothing hard to find but hard to trust buying from those places being how it shows no one has, it's kinda weird to me they should be out of stock or have reviews. Besides a junkyard I have found only those options. Prefer a new one if possible but idk what fits what if I have to wire something and change xinnevtors I will but idk if that could damage something if it happens to not be the right part and idk how to find out for sure unless I buy the one that looks identical or ask someone who may know.

2011 GMC Yukon 2500. All things I found on the internet said this was located on the driver side frame near the rear tire or under the spare tire. I located mine on the passenger side frame facing the outside. The screws were a torx T-30 and had to be accessed from under neath and inside the frame. Hope this helps. Took me longer to find it than it did to change it!!

This is NOT LOCATED "inside the transmission case" 😂😂😂 This can be replaced at any time and doesn't need to be done with the transmission cracked open. 🙄😮‍💨🤡
