really enjoyed this review! just subscribed as well. also, doechii is signed to TDE as well as Capitol records. they’re the ones she’s having issues with because they want her to replicate the success of her song ‘What It Is’ and make more pop while TDE is letting her be the artist she wants to be, which is mainly a rapper but also a well-rounded artist.

I think it’s funny how you were explaining early in the vid that the worlds falling apart and we use music to drown those thoughts out, and then the first line on the last song is “we don’t care bout the party, we just wanna dance”.

She's kinda right with that intro. I have kinda noticed that around a big historical event or just an election, good music tends to be on an incline. take 2016 for example; quite literally the worst president got elected and EVERYONE dropped, it was mayhem

Y'know most rappers lie when they say "this is my last album" but i dunno he could be telling the truth, putting all of his energy into the Moviemaking stuff. I think i believe him because im also into music (and moviemaking) and i can see myself giving up on music after album #5. I think you can only make so much music before you start falling off. Additionally, i get the feeling that he doesn't like the direction that hip hop is goin in and doesnt necessarily want to be apart of the rap world under his current moniker.
