That was amazing...being right there on the field with you. It not only shows your skills as a musician but the conditioning it takes to pull it off. One of my favorite DCI performances of all times!!

He was an alternate who played the feature on the field at the encore

He was an alternate who played the contract feature with them
I'm pretty sure he was an alternate and they let him play on the drum feature since it was encore run, if you watch high cam videos of the encore you can see 13 tubas instead of 12 during the feature and then it goes right back to 12.
I can only imagine how they felt when they finished that run.

BaconCat245 I’m like 99% sure it’s their hand making the noise as they switch hands, not the tuba hitting their shoulder.
Sean O'Leary no, in scv they snap their third valve slides in, not too sure what the contras do though.
I still just wanna know why that one tuba player just gets off the field after the feature in the closure.
