Hello all, Whoever stumbles on this video in the future here are a few pointers: Getting the USB Software. 1. Download the software from the Olympus website. 2. Extract the software from the zip-folder 3. Install the software. 4. When the software has been installed, right-click on the vanta software icon and click on "Open file location". 5. you are now in the "bin" folder, go one folder down to the "Vanta" folder. The folder should be located in "Program files (x86)->Evident->Vanta" 6. In the "Vanta" folder there is a folder called: "Vanta-USB-OTG-Driver" 7. In the "Vanta-USB-OTG-Driver" folder, right click on the RNDIS file and select "Install". You have now installed the USB Driver. If you have the issue: "Under controll by ui" You need to shut of the Vanta and turn it back on without logging on. You will now be able to log on from the Vanta PC Software.

Hi Currently we are using Niton™ XL3t XRF Analyzer for XRF analyze for core samples, our the xrf niton xl3t analyzer cannot save a file, after analysis of 20 seconds, the results should be displayed in the screen and the result will be saved from the data(memory) of the xrf but unfortunately, our portable xrf failed to do so. Do you have any suggestion and any treatment we can setting ?

I get that you require dipole moments to have very specific, characteristic absorption peaks. But what do you actually measure when using FTIR on a metal? You still get reflectance/absorption regions right? Let's say you would use ATR-FTIR on a coated sample, and you partially measure the substrate through a coating. Couldn't your signal become too distorted to make an accurate reading, but still show specific absorption peaks?
