50,000 miles. Wow.
1980 didn’t have the “Sub transmission” Honda said oops brought them back in 81
Hello I have a lifan 125 an 96 12v posty can I use the original cdi and coil with these new motors
@@mattdobson9525 yes
@postietv7438 hi mate sorry to bother you again! Just wondering what have you found to be the best carb to run on these 125 lifan motors? Cheers
They are not Philips head screws they are just (Japanese industry standard) Philips head screwdrivers have a different head angle and that is why these screws strip the heads if you use a Philips screwdriver
Sick postie dude. Is it a 1977? Mine looks identical, maybe has just a little more patina 😂 I'm rebuilding the motor on her. Will be putting the top end back on tomorrow, but sadly won't be able to fire her up since it came missing a few clutch parts. Can't find anyone selling them for the life of me, unless its $100 shipping from the states for a $5 part... Great vid, subbed
Hi Mate Was that your standard cylinder that you got machined? Thanks
Thanks for the great video. Ive recently done this with my 1999 CT110 and the headlight works a treat. Would you have any ideas on why my indicators stopped working. Been trying to work it out for a few hours now and cant seem to find anything obvious
Well done 🙂👍
Hi mate, did you have any problems blowing headlight, tail light and dash globes when revving the engine? Just done the conversion and im having this issue. Cheers
3 years later still a good informative vid thanks heaps bloke
What are the forks off?
thanks so much! apparently previous owner rebuilt with non honda rings and i was a bit lost when my new rings looked entirely different
G’day, I’m looking at doing this to my bike and all the lights I’ve found, including one that looks identical to the one installed in the video, all say they are 60W, given that the stock bulb is 35W will this be an issue?
Hey mate that’s not a issue being LED it runs a wider range of voltage I’m running one on a 6v bike without issue 👍
I can't work out what brand the shocks are 😭

Sorry for the delay maté here’s a Link to the shocks 👍
@@postietv7438 Awesome thanks!
Can you please provide the link for the shocks or their name? I hear there are a lot of fake shocks on the market. Great videos too BTW
Did this ever happen
Good job 👏 👍
Thanks mate it was a great fun build and loved riding it 😁
1st when just seeing yr frame i thought that looks shyte, then seeing this video i now think it looks shyte hot as in really good 👍
Do you gap ct90 rings ?
i know it was a long time ago but could you possible link the mirrors
how much did all the upgrades cost
This is not stephen
Thanks mate. Put my new piston in today. Was good to have your video to watch! Thanks!
Glad it helped mate
Best little motors ever made Honda
Thank you for taking the time
I’m doing a tear down and rebuild of my ‘81 ct 110, is it advised to replace piston and rings when doing a rebuild? I am considering doing a larger bore like this if I need to buy new piston and rings already. Haven’t check the gaps on the original rings yet though. Dude I can’t thank you enough for your videos, I just watch your transmission rebuild video, it was a lifesaver. Also, what’s the benefit of 12v conversion? Brighter lights?
If your piston is still in good condition, just cleaning it up and clean out gunk where the rings sit, and replace the rings. It’s and easy job just gotta have time to do it. Hope that helps
Legend! So helpful mate, appreciate the vid.
G'day mate what are the Forks of and what mods did you have to do to fit them? Cheers
Great video! Thanks mate. This is giving me more confidence to pull apart and rebuild my first ever engine!
Bloody legends
That looks sick!!!
спасибо. никто не объяснял так хорошо эту тему. просто супер.
Let there be light
Thanks
Please sir what size Main Jet is in that carburetor
#75 in that one
I'd like to replace my cam chain too but wonder if I could just use a master link and feed the new chain through?
I’ve never done it that way you would need to take the head off but it’s also a good idea to check all rollers and tensioner By the time you have removed everything to check you can put the chain on without breaking it
Do you have a video of that upgrade on an NBC110?
No sorry
Hello my friend. I watch your videos occasionally mostly because I have a CT 110 and that's what you work on mostly. I appreciate you sharing all of what you do. I'm having questions about my ct110 I wonder if you could answer. If I have a leaking head gasket is that going to affect my carb calibrations?
Depending on how bad it’s leaking If it’s loosing compression it will affect the running But if it’s just a slight leak it shouldn’t have any impact on the carb settings
Thanks a bunch for your time. I want to try leaning my carb to #72 main jet. I think it's running to rich with a #78 cause It still runs with the mixture screw all the way closed. Please confirm
Have you heard of a 140 bore kit
This is one that I’ve done th-cam.com/video/dlglyoIgi7M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Dyw0-dk-XgJyOdmO
I've tried by Honda manual this way is so much better
@itsRDtime. Thanks a lot! Today I tried it and without knowing anything and failed to reassemble! Watched your video and got the job done properly. Thanks again indeed.
With the piston not having a ring locator pin what stops the rings from turning and having the gaps align?
The rings have no rotational forces on them and the vertical pressure on them during the stroke keeps them in place.
That’s a lot of miles
Greay vid mate, how do you think it would you go skimming the cylinder head to make up some of the compression loss?
If you get a pair of those forks at the start do you need a spring or is there already one
A good video has no use by date. Thanks for this helpful series as I begin the process of hunting down a weird noise in the gearbox.
Hi mate can this be done on c90 12v?
Yes should be fine LED has a wider range in voltage
@@postietv7438 thank you mate im thinking to try it hopefully is not going ti mess with my lighting or electrics, the bike is 12v stoke 90cc 1999
Im building one the same where did you mount the oil cooler? I think im going for a custom intake to get my carb facing backwards Tricky tho 32mm im using is tight
I'm looking at doing the same engine conversion for the Mrs postie so she has electric start, im very interested in how hard the wiring was
I was wondering if you can answer a question for me. I have a 84 ct110. I have two wires that I have no idea where they go from the kill switch/lights. One is a brown with white stripe and the other is a black wire.
The black will normally be a power feed that goes to a connector with 4 sockets and brown is tail light But brown with white is park light from memory which 6v models did have Hope that helps
Ok from my harness there is no brown and white wire. Nor to the tail light.
Also the connection is female bullet.
@@sixfootfour20 is it on the back of the head light itself?
@@postietv7438 No, and I can't find anywhere on the harness that has a brown with white stripe. Nor on the wiring diagram. I wonder if it would jumper to the brown set of connectors going back to the tail light. But all the connections are full on that circuit
