While I initially tapped into your cover and tab for Rush: The Trees, you've since become my go-to for Maiden covers. While I don't necessarily agree with every note you document (people will always disagree about some of the minute stuff), you're hands-down closer than any others I've followed. Hi! Just wanted to send a thank u for this bass tab. Might have thrown myself a bit into the deep end for trying this after only having played bass for a few weeks, but practicing it is making miracles since the skill transfers over to other songs. Increasing this video with one view everyday since it's part of my daily bass practice routine. So far I can more or less play about 80-90% of it :) Hehe, getting biceps from that insanely fast section in the end XD This video has far to few likes for it's complexity, but maybe Symphony X is a bit of a niche band idk. Thank u again :)

Excellent mate-nice job. If I might say: your triplets are weak on one note. As the audio is out of sync with the video, it’s hard to tell what your fingers are doing but try (finger numbers) 1, 121, 121, 121. More maiden please-loving it. You really can tell the difference with a maple vs rosewood fretboard can’t you? Lovely tone.

First, I love your channel, thank you, so much, subscribed, your approach to filming and adding the notations is over the top helpful!!! Second, how the hell do you sing with bass lines like that and stay rhythmically in sync with all those time changes?? Third, how does Geddy do all that or even get that kind of bass line writing in his head? The dude was funky before funky became a cool thing. His bass lines are definitely not the usual boring Top 40, two note, chug along typical lines we always hear. Geddy is just a Mensch!
