Hi Let’s say if an applicant lives in Ireland, did education there like the Leaving Certificate and wishes to apply for the Speedbird Academy Programme. He/she has passed the Leaving Certificate where he/she got 4 Subjects over O6 and 3 Subjects over H5 and has an Irish passport showing he/she has the right to live and work in Ireland and the UK (Common Travel Area). Will they accept that individual because in the Educational Requirements it is only showing GCSEs and other equivalent qualifications like ECCTIS (which is also exclusive in the UK) and not the Irish equivalent qualifications. Aer Lingus accepts anyone who also passed their GCSEs within the Equivalent qualifications under the Leaving Certificate requirements for their Future Pilot Programme. Will that be possible. And if the same applicant hasn’t passed the Leaving Certificate but obtained an Aviation Related Bachelor’s Degree in any University in Ireland or did an Aviation Related Apprenticeship there, will they also be accepted as in make the requirements or are they’re other tasks that need to be put in place in order to give the applicant confirmation on whether they are accepted or not? Are there any alternative Airline Pilot Programmes around UK or Ireland for Irish applicants to apply for? I’m asking this question out of curiosity and clarification as I’m currently in university studying an Aviation Related Course in Ireland so I can obtain a Bachelor’s Degree as evidence to show to airlines that I have an educational background. I know Aer Lingus and Ryanair has those requirements however I would like to keep my options open as oppose to just the two airlines mentioned.
