This beat was made before I repaired the 5000. I actually took them off and bought the original pads for it. Some love them. I didn’t like them. It was too hard to me.

That is unfortunate! I’ve had some bad experiences myself but mainly with selling gear once. That’s why I use eBay only for tiny parts not whole units.

What do you think about the roland vs 2480 , mixer board 🤔

@@marcusholder495 I think for a semi digital mixer it’s actually pretty good! Something about the algorithm in the machine, the way it records the sound gives it a little something. They are definitely newer things that can do a decent job if not a better job, but if you know that machine very well, I’m always impressed with those who can make something amazing with it.

@@davidalimusic if you go to Roland’s site you can search for the latest firmware. I believe 2.10 is the last one available. They have instructions that are straight forward on how to update it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t experienced any of that, but I also haven’t bought any electronic parts. Just the faceplate and pads. I have a few other places to source parts incase of anything.

@@PetrolMediaInc its pretty dope . but the x6 is better workstaion i think , the 06 has some great features like daw control and stem export but the fantom is a better sampler and workstation its a bit slow but , i wanna see what u rigged up with the sd card ,, im using the pcmia card they suck fr they so slow ...i wish i could speed the cpu up in the x6 ...its def a beast ...the fa 06 is super fast with saving and loading but lacks the sampling power the x6 has ....

@this is good to know. I’ll have to do some research now. The Fantom made me realize I really don’t need another workstation. Just want other things ti pair with it and the 5000

Yeah the parts are up there. My original didn’t have the 8out board. One day.

I think it’s the best balance of all of the old MPC‘s. It’s extremely portable, has pretty much every feature you need to create, and definitely delivers when you ask it to do work. The 2500 is just as good just more outputs. There are a few feature differences, but not enough to make me go and buy one unless I find the right deal for my collection.

@@EvLoutonian​​⁠I agree. The 2000/3000 vibe of this faceplate is awesome. I think there were licensing issues why they didn’t. I know @ghostinmpc has a copy of it on his builds and it looks great.
