Good question! There's a technique I teach in 6th grade which consists in grabbing two sticks with one hand. One stick goes between fingers 1 and 2 (having the second one right on the stick) and one stick goes between fingers 2 and 3 so you play a 3rd interval (for example C and E at the same time). I put dots on all of glockenspiels and xylophones too! Evan the violins have C Major 1/8th inch dots over the G D A scale 1 2 3 4 tapes.
