An exercise in which I play in slow improvisation with my eyes closed. A few mistakes are due to this. The camera lost focus somewhere but the goal here is definitely not to focus on my image you can take advantage of that fact ;) Background image: Vintage Flowers by Walls Need Love (wallsneedlove.com).

The power of Art to uplift us from darkness. Credits in the video. Its worthy noting that the singing voice was a synthetic blend of two voices, that of soprano Ewa Malas-Godlewska and counter-tenor Derek Lee Ragin, to achieve the perfect androgynous voice of the 18th century castrati opera singers.

Fringe mathematics

Its not fringe at all, but the msic score certainly is. Now get back to study or I'll tell your parents. I mean it. Now seriously, I am practising to go and teach at College. Why? Because I loved to study mathematics when I was in College (Applied Math) and I spent all those hours watching as bunch of folks fill the board with stuff only 1% of students at best could understand at real-time, and...

Paganini tries DMT. An experimental version of "Adelante" by Dj Sash!, with 3 violins. Go watch the original and learn what you missed if you were not a teen back in the 90s ;) th-cam.com/video/gFQ01Fs952o/w-d-xo.html I find it very difficult to perform machine-like rythmic movements on the violin in a sustained mathematical manner. I am used to a organic kind of motion instead. Nothing to do w...

Indeed. You may like to know that Anthony Hopkins composed an actual waltz. Its called "And The Waltz Goes On" and there is a beautiful interpretation by André Rieu here on YT.

I appreciate your feedback and I wish to take the opportunity to tell people why I do that: i) a like or dislike have little meaning in a scientific context if they are not explained; ii) my goal is not to survey the sensibilities of the market, but instead to make specific things public; iii) I am not really interested in your degree of agreement but instead on your understanding of the presentation so that you can evaluate its implications; iv) I made this information public mainly so that I can block any and all attempts at patenting a procedure such as the one used here; v) to prove my point, none of my videos show likes or dislikes, be they about math or music or surf or whatever; vi) I honestly despise virtual social networks and as such also the mechanisms by which people voluntarily imprison themselves in them. Finally, I would like to tell you that this also works for YOUR advantage. Why? Because this tells you that you have someone here who is interested in your opinion and in your arguments, not in collecting one more casual emotional reaction. Also to put things in perspective, what you see here was finished last year but in reality it was envisioned the first time about 15 years ago. I had therefore much time to ponder about these problems and devise a roadmap that I am sure enough is superior to all other actors who still today rely on statistical approaches to intelligence modelling. So I am confident enough to not need to fish and lure people's approval, such as people do these days. Also I do not need financing from anyone because what you see here although very abstract in theory is in its essence simple to implement with basic programming tools and machines. Hope this makes sense to you.

Dear TH-cam, the platform built by amazing engineers highly qualified in all things "engineering", "AI", "social" and "activism" : please remove that useless pointer to that ridiculous holywood movie. It has NOTHING to do with this subject and it degrades the standard I want to set for myself when I use your shareholders' and occasional Government meddlers' "engineering" platform. We're doing mature people stuff here. Why don't you go and have your engineers play on YT Kids instead? By comparison of my standard with yours, it is a priviledge for TH-cam to have my videos hosted here. Thank you very much. ps. send my high regards to your faithful local and Federal Government next time you do your regular status meeting. Those guys are just amazing. Thankfully, Government meddling in private corporations only happens in those corrupt third world oil rich communist regimes -- those that need to be democratically overthrown by democratic foreign governments such as yours. God, I miss RT so much!...

«As has already been said, the vibrato, to begin with, must be produced by fingers and hand alone, in order to develop an easy, well-regulated movement. At times one sees violinists who work not only with the whole arm and shoulder in producing the vibrato, but even - actually, not figuratively - allow their heads to vibrate, as well. This, of course, is entirely incorrect and a genuine, singing violin tone can never be produced by such means.» Maia Bang, "Method for Violin - Higher Art of Bowing" (1923)

Its worth noting that it is not enough to do the right things to play the vibrato, because we depend on strenght and flexibility on different parts of the fingers, and these can onle be developed in time. So, if you are doing everything right and still you can't do the vibrato properly, that is the most likely reason and I believe that my approach here can help you pinpoint the factors that are hindering your performance.

I forgot to mention one thing that you might find useful and eventually necessary. Using a metronomer may be helpful right from the start, both for developing the sense of time (and later rythm) and to help you focus on each thing at its time. When I started I had the tendency to rush things on top of another and this was helpful to discipline my effort. Later when playing more complex pieces I suggest you use it after you get familiar with the piece and before putting the metronomer aside to develop your own approach to the piece. In any case the final goal will be to not need a metronomer at all.
