If you gain a food card with Fast Learning can it be placed on top of your draw pile? I'm assuming yes since Sharp Senses makes the point of saying you cannot do this when acquiring with that card but wanted to check. Loving this game so far, played twice with the Octopus and won both times... but it was close!

Been having so much fun with the game. I bought a deluxe version from my LGS and my copy didn’t come with a double clam tile. Is there a way to get one?

oh weird, mine holds it like between two tentacles like it's pinching it with chopsticks, I didn't even know it was meant to hold it with 3.

Do you flip the growth tiles right away when they fill up? The rulebook says you should follow the order, but it doesn't seem you do in this video. Or maybe it doesn't matter?

So did you switch the Growth and Energy phase after this video? Because it doesn't match the rulebook I'm reading.

One of the main issues I’ve heard around this game is how anti-climatic the game is and how this video ended kind of supports that argument. It is a great game it does feature a lot of luck and the confrontation feels like rock paper scissors but it is very cool when you do have a confrontation and you’re able to survive. Maybe that’s the balance it feels so good and hurts so bad when you lose. What are your guys thoughts on confrontation or how it is changed if at all in the mini expansions? It may be that is the intent after all ; kind of how Captain sonar is just better battleship, this is just better rock paper scissors are using dice as the shark and cards as the octopus did not want to get to play rock paper scissors

If you want to make sure it stays the way you want it to after bending it, you can put it into cold (or even ice cold) water. This hardens the plastic really well and it shouldn't bend back to the unwanted position. Thanks for the video, great to see how much you care to please your customers. The game is really great too!

Received my copy a few days ago, will play tonight - quick question: if playing as the shark I draw two blue dice and roll the same number, I assume I can only use one to swim the current, and the other is useless? Or does it go into my energy reserve by default?

Question in relation to the explanation: what is the risk with the double shell? Can the shark eat it and get it removed?

So can the shark only strike / attack if they have drawn a red die from the bag? Or they just take it from the pile and roll it when they want to attack?

Rules question, when you placed two YELLOW die for searching, is it mandatory to search both places once you revealed the Octopus?

Recently received my copy if Kelp and it's incredible. Massive respect to you for creating such a smart and engaging game. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of buying Kelp.

You know what I just realized watching this vid :( it's that in a room with some decent enough lighting shining onto the board , the shark can see the red hue (reflection) of the octopus on the surface of the board

Thank you for posting this! This will make the game so much easier to understand, and so much more enjoyable. Of course, I'm already so stoked about the game that I honestly don't know if that's possible. Also, I noticed the dice tray is soft rubber. What a clever design! You really went all out!

Got mine yesterday! Wondering what the purpose of the octopus figure is if the whole point of playing the octopus is to stay hidden? Very well crafted! Is it just a collectible or is there another mechanic that would require a full minifigure?
